COLUMBIANA COUNTY COURT NEWS
LISBON –Jamie P. Tice Jr., 21, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony and lesser charge to the second-degree felonious assault charge he had been facing. Tice was sentenced to a term at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center until the treatment program is completed and placed on three years community control. The charge was for causing serious physical harm to his mother, Kristie Tice, on March 8, 2021, fracturing bones around her left eye socket and nose by punching her.
Samantha L. Fickle, 28, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to attempted illegal use of supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits, a amended misdemeanor charge from the third-degree felony charge she had been facing. Fickle was sentenced 180 days in jail suspended and placed on two years of community control, while ordered to repay the Columbiana County Department of Jobs and Family Services $8,413 for benefits unfairly obtained between Jan. 1, 2018 and July 31, 2019.
Brian G. McCullough, 56, Sebring, was sentenced to a year in prison, fined $1,350 and had his license suspended for life for OVI, a third-degree felony. Another count of OVI wil be dismissed.
Shawn D. Tremain, 30, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, stipulated to violating the terms of his community control and had it dishonorably terminated. Tremain had been on community control for charges of possession of cocaine, illegal cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for substances in his possession on May 19, 2019. He now was sentenced to 120 days in jail.
Cylee J. Barnes, Seigler Road, Salineville, was placed on three years of community control for a fourth-degree felony charge of theft from a person in a protected class. she was ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution for money stolen from Amanda Blazer between March 5, 2020 and April 14, 2020.
Valerie M. Hill, 45, East Ely Street, Alliance, was placed on three years community control including a term at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center program for a fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs charge. Hill had methamphetamines on Jan. 24, 2020.
Alexis R. Brice, 29, Ambridge, Pa., pleaded guilty to identity fraud and forgery, both fifth-degree felonies, for forging the signature of Natasha E. Sayles on a customer agreement with Ohio Neighborhood Finance Inc., also known as Cashland, on Aug. 18, 2018. Brice was placed on three years community control and ordered to pay $200 in restitution.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL
LISBON — In county Municipal Court, Carter L. Hawkins, 48, Market Street, Salineville, was fined $250 and required 20 hours community service for disorderly conduct for fighting on Sept. 9 .
