COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL

LISBON — A May 13 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Danny J. Shultz, 24, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with felonious assault for allegedly shoving his girlfriend at the time, Keelie Wright, down onto the ground, punching her and choking her until she was lightheaded on Tuesday.

A May 13 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Sean R. Lodge, 37, Farr Street, Rogers, charged with a third-degree felony domestic violence and cited with obstructing official business and illegal drug paraphernalia. On March 24, Lodge allegedly grabbed Billie Thompson, his live-in girlfriend, by the face, threw her to the floor and punched her multiple times. The misdemeanor charges are for allegedly having a glass pipe with residue in his pocket on Wednesday, when he reportedly gave police the false name of Joel Lodge, a false date of birth of Aug. 6 and claimed not to know the year he was born nor his Social Security number.

Tyler Scott Cutting, 27, Alliance-Sebring Road, Alliance, was credited with a day in jail, sentenced to an additional nine days in jail, fined $1,255, had his license suspended for two years and required 50 hours community service for OVI second offense, seat belt violation, open container and speeding.

A May 13 pretrial was set for Jakob David Bell, 30, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, charged with OVI second offense, driving under FRA suspension, marked lanes, a seat belt violation, distracted driving and use of an unauthorized plate.

A June 24 pretrial was set for Eric W. Smith, 52, Spring Valley Road, Salineville, cited with OVI first offense and speeding.

A June 28 pretrial was set for Zachary R. Baird, 29, Duck Creek Road, Salem, cited with OVI first offense.

A June 17 pretrial was set for Donald P. Cochran, 55, Sprucevale Road, Columbiana, cited with OVI first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, a headlights violation and possession of marijuana.

Zachary Eugene Rock, 38, Pittsburgh, Pa., was fined $250, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 20 hours community service for reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Kelly M. Reed, 31, Sunset Drive, Wellsville, was fined $1,930 and required 20 hours community service for seven counts of failure to confine, three counts of prohibitions involving companion animals and one count each of failure to register dogs, driving under suspension, failure to control and a seat belt violation. On Oct. 29, she was accused of having two boxer mix dogs and a pit bull all tied outside in the mud without shelter from the cold, wind and rain. The failure to confine and failure to register violations involved a boxer mix on June 25, 2019; April 8, 2020; Oct. 9, 2020; Oct. 15, 2020; Oct. 24, 2020; Oct. 25, 2020 and Oct. 29, 2020. She was further ordered not to own or possess any type of companion animals during her probation.

A June 24 pretrial was set for Brandon Michael Ware, 21, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing Samantha Marie Simpson, by the chest and neck area and then slamming her to the ground on Wednesday. A May 27 pretrial was set for Simpson, 23, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking Ware in the chest area and attempting to throw a piece of glass at him.

A May 13 pretrial was set for Bryan L. Brim, 42, Brewer Road, Minerva, charged with domestic violence for allegedly injuring Billie Hackney’s hand, shoulder, ankle and lower lip when they were scuffling in the living room on Thursday.

A May 13 pretrial was set for Brock D. Mullins, 32, Hamilton Road, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly choking his girlfriend, Nicole Woods, several times and biting her on the cheek while hugging her. Additionally, Mullins is accused of threatening to kill her, her parents and her child if she called police.

A June 17 pretrial was set for Robert McLaughlin, 60, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to harm or kill Samantha Savin, raising his fist toward her and motioning in a manner that made her believe he was going to harm her on April 27. McLaughlin was fined $50 for public intoxication from Jan. 27.

A June 15 pretrial was set for Eric S. McFarland, 42, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly throwing a crock pot at Amber McFarland, shoving her down and throwing multiple items, breaking them and breaking out a window in the front door on Monday.

Samantha J. Newton, 26, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $250, credited with a day in jail and required 20 hours community service for domestic violence for biting and scratching Charles E. Weyand III, her fiance on March 15.

A May 13 pretrial was set for Jordan A. Bruce, 30, Boardman, charged with theft for allegedly removing the tags of three higher priced items at Walmart in Salem and replacing them with lower cost tags to avoid paying nearly $100 at the self-scan register on June 12.

A July 1 pretrial was set for Jacqueline Hersman, 66, North Jefferson Street, Lisbon, cited with a vacant structure violation for allegedly failing to pay the vacant structure monitoring fee or seek a waiver of the fee for a vacant restaurant property with a stainless-steel façade at 140 East Lincoln Way.

Eric L. Jordan, 43, East Pidgeon Road, Salem, was fined $1,225, credited with 22 days served and ordered to serve an additional 68 days in jail for two counts of an unauthorized plate, two counts of driving under suspension, a stop sign violation and drug abuse instruments for a syringe in his pocket on April 23.

James L. Spurlock, 24, state Route 170, Negley, was fined $750 for driving under suspension and use of an unauthorized plate.

Samantha Crawford, 34, West Main Street, Salineville, was credited with five days in jail, sentenced to an additional five days in jail and fined $250 for criminal mischief for talking on a phone inside the jail on April 19, then destroying it by hitting it off the wall multiple times.

A May 17 pretrial was set for Robert E. Burge, 56, last known address South Union Avenue, Salem, charged with theft, obstructing official business and illegal drug paraphernalia. He is accused of shoplifting at the Salem Walmart by shoving items down his pants on Tuesday, hiding behind the Home Depot across the street, then failing to come out when police ordered him to do so and having a glass pipe with burnt residue in his possession.

Betsy L. Theodore, 36, Alice Street, East Palestine, was found guilty of resisting arrest by a jury on Wednesday. She was found not guilty of obstructing official business. Theodore was fined $250, credited with a day in jail and required 40 hours of community service for pulling or pushing East Palestine police attempting to take her into custody on Feb. 9.

Natay Ford, 28, Youngstown, was fined $300 for two counts of disorderly conduct amended from possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

A disorderly conduct charge against Les L. Crowe, 48, Cunningham Road, Salem, was dismissed.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Cody A. Dehoff, 31, Franklin Avenue, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Samual P. Eckart, 44, Niles, cited with driving under OVI suspension.

Jessica R. Tomlison, 20, Boardman, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Julie A. Clark, 46, Columbia Street, Leetonia, was fined $150 for wrongful entrustment.

Nicholas Kevin Shiley, 22, McDonald, was fined $150 for special deer or turkey permit required.

Mohammed Abdulsahis M. Al Lami, 42, Barberton, was fined $100 for speeding.
