LISBON -- In county Municipal Court, a March 22 preliminary hearing was set for Jamie Tice, 20, East Sixth Street, Salem, charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, for allegedly striking his mother, Kristie Tice, in the eye on March 8 during an argument.
Mark A. Walton, 55, Crawford Road, Wellsville, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of having a weapon while under a disability and aggravated menacing for allegedly threatening to kill Cinthia Hannan while holding a handgun, which caused Hannan and her family to flee from the home in fear. Walton was also fined $250, credited with a day in jail and sentenced to an additional 59 days in jail for violating a protection order for interfering with the home where Danise Moore was staying, by writing a letter to another person informing that person to occupy the home until he could return, change the locks and dispose of property.
Jordan L. Gainer, 32, Smithfield Street, East Liverpool, was bound over to the grand jury on a felony charge of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and misdemeanor counts of permitting an operator to drive without a license, failure to display a valid sticker, failure to control, a seat belt violation, speeding, a turn signal violation, two counts of reckless operation, two counts of improper passing and two counts of traffic control device violations.
Melissa K. Johnson, 28, Canal Street, Lisbon, was bound over to the grand jury on a felony level OVI and misdemeanor citations of driving under suspension and failure to control.
Jesse S. McVey, 20, Center Avenue, Lisbon, was bound over to the grand jury on a domestic violence charge for allegedly dragging his fiance Angel Myers by the hair, hitting her in the face and slamming her off a table in the living room.
An April 15 preliminary hearing was set for Robert B. Stein, 18, Industry, Pa., charged with improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle for allegedly having a loaded Taurus handgun in the vehicle he was riding in on March 4.
Richard E. Chludzinski, 47, New Galilee, Pa., was bound over to the grand jury on charges of assault of a police officer and resisting arrest for attempting to leave Common Pleas Court to avoid being sentenced and taking Deputy Ryan Pike down the courthouse steps with him when Pike was stopping him from leaving last week.
Youcef Brahimi, 33, Main Street, Leetonia, was credited with 263 days in jail for domestic violence, obstructing official business and assault amended from assault on a police officer for striking a corrections officer in the head three times and biting him on the arm. The domestic violence charge was for striking his wife, Emmy Logan in the face, and refusing to cooperate with police investigating the matter.
Richard P. Smith, 33, Waterford Road, New Waterford, was fined $550 and credited with 26 days served in jail for four counts of domestic violence for threatening to burn down a home on Waterford Road, New Waterford, with four people inside in January.
David Soos, 52, Walnut Street, Washingtonville, was fined $500, credited with four days in jail and sentenced to an additional three days in jail for violating a protection order for calling Tina Davidson between April and December.
Peter Henry Follian Jr., 36, Monongahela, Pa., was fined $530 for hit skip and improper backing.
A March 25 pretrial was set for Kevin L. Fankhauser, 46, Lowmiller Road, Minerva, charged with domestic violence for threatening to kill his wife and himself with a knife on Saturday.
An April 20 pretrial was set for Bergen Mitchell Weyand, 20, Anna Street, East Palestine, cited with OVI first offense, endangering children, underage consumption, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and a turn signal violation.
Richard E. Vaughn Jr., 56, state Route 14, East Palestine, was fined $925, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense and parking on a highway.
John Miscuk III, 25, Mason Street, East Liverpool, was fined $530 for hit skip and failure to control.
A March 22 pretrial was set for Lester Russell, 39, Saline Street, Irondale, cited with driving under suspension and a windshield violation.
Patricia M. Minerd, 53, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
An April 19 pretrial was set for Rusty R. Altman, 48, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly beating on a Highland Avenue, Rogers, home while he was intoxicated on Saturday.
A citation of no license against Randy William Hooper, 36, Salineville Road West, Salineville, was dismissed. He was fined $25 for a taillight violation.
A driving under suspension citation against Jeanette Garrett Mackenzie, 21, West Main Street, East Palestine, was dismissed.
Clinton Alexander Scott III, 43, South Broadway, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
Franklin Thomas Oneil, 60, West Clark Street, East Palestine, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.
An April 22 pretrial was set for Brandon R. Lindsay, 34, Brookdale Avenue, East Palestine, cited with criminal damaging for punching a hole into vinyl siding and breaking a glass light fixture.
Ciara M. White, 21, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, was fined $400, credited with a day in jail, sentenced to an additional nine days in jail and required 40 hours community service for false information, drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for taking John White's 1998 Ford van without permission on Jan. 17.
Charges of importuning and disseminating materials harmful to children against Alexander Christopher Jones was dismissed due to Jones already being indicted by the grand jury for the same alleged actions.
Sean Corbett, 20, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $275 for speeding, no motorcycle endorsement, driving under suspension, use of an unauthorized plate.
Lisa A. Eddy, 45, West Ohio Avenue, Sebring, was fined $250 and required 100 hours community service for theft for shoplifting $61 in merchandise at the Salem Walmart on Dec. 18.
