East Liverpool
-- A confused person discovered wandering at 11:35 a.m. Saturday was taken home to Haywood Street.
-- Police responded at 7:36 a.m. Saturday to the 700 block of Minerva Street for a domestic dispute.
-- A breaking and entering was reported at 1:33 p.m. Saturday.
-- Officers responded at 11:57 a.m. Saturday to the 400 block of Vine Street for a custody dispute.
-- Officers were dispatched at 9:48 a.m. Saturday to the 1000 block of Avondale Street for a dog who had been lying outside the residence at night. When approached, th dog seemed so cold that he didn't want to move, so the dog was put in the patrol car and taken to the dog warden.
-- Another dog was reported left outside for three hours at 9:41 a.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Harvey Avenue. Upon responding, the officer had negative contact with anyone.
-- A noise complaint was reported at 1:52 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North Shadylane.
Highway Patrol
-- Duana Stutzman, 64, of Dundee, struck a deceased deer on state Route 45 in Madison Township at 6:44 a.m. Thursday.
-- Charles W. Bandy, 76, of Winona, was driving on Yates Road in Salem Township at 3:38 p.m. Saturday when the skid-steer secured onto the trailer attached to his vehicle fell off onto the road. Bandy was cited with failure to secure loads.
-- Clifford D. Perry, 48, of Wellsville, lost control of his vehicle while trying to avoid a deer on state Route 164 in Washington Township at 10:50 a.m. Thursday. Perry's vehicle went off the road and struck an embankment before overturning. Perry did not sustain any injuries.
-- Paul L. Smith, 81, of Hanoverton, drove off of the left side of the road and struck a guardrail on U.S. 30 in Hanover Township at 3:22 p.m. Jan. 19. Smith said he believes he passed out and that's why he lost control of his vehicle. Smith was cited with failure to control.
-- A vehicle driven by Nichole Vanstrein, 31, West Bloomfield, Mich., was struck by a vehicle driven by Colleen D. Dicksinson, 49, of Salem, after Vanstrein failed to yield to oncoming traffic on state Route 45 in Center Township at 3:32 p.m. Jan. 14. No injuries were sustained by either party. Vanstrein was cited with failure to yield.
Columbiana
-- Joseph Sferra, 38, Columbiana was cited for driving under an OVI suspension after a traffic stop on state Route 14 at 12:38 a.m. Friday.
-- A traffic stop was conducted on state Route 14 near Nulf Drive at 1:03 a.m. Friday for a moving and equipment violation. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located a small amount of suspected marijuana. Police did not issue any citations and the driver was given verbal warnings for the traffic violations. The contraband was later destroyed and disposed of properly.
-- Jeffrey Seidner, 47, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on North Main Street at 3:16 a.m. Friday.
-- Richard Dotson, 51, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant from the sheriff's office following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at 3:49 p.m. Saturday.
-- Officers were called to the park on East Park Avenue for a disturbance between a male and a female at 12:27 p.m. Sunday. All parties were separated with no one wanting to pursue any more of a complaint. All parties were given warnings for their behavior and left the park without further incident.
- Tim Saunders, Columbiana, and Donna Comtios, Youngstown, were given trespass warnings for Rite Aid on South Avenue at 8:05 p.m. Sunday.
Lisbon
-- The manager at the Shale Tavern called at 5:22 p.m. Saturday because there was a man at the bar who was engaging in "sexual activity" in front of everyone and he refused to leave. Police arrived and escorted him out of the building and he was also banned from the premise.
-- Police were called to a domestic dispute on North Vine Street at 5:42 p.m. Saturday. The caller said she wanted the man living there with her to leave and take his brother with him. The man could not find a place to stay for the night, so the caller agreed to spend the night at a friend's house.
County Sheriff
-- While doing security checks at the Southern Local School district, a deputy found the door to the fitness center was wide open. The building was checked. No one was found, but the deputy was unable to determine if anything was missing. The door was secured.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at a Y and O Road, Madison Township, home at 11:05 p.m. Thursday. The man reported his girlfriend assaulted him, but he signed a refusal to prosecute.
-- A Rauch Road, Unity Township, man reported at 5:16 p.m. Thursday someone was using his Social Security number to try to open a bank account.
-- K-9 Hunter and Deputy Damin Beadnell responded to a traffic stop on state Route 45 north of Wellsville after they were requested by the highway patrol at 11:14 p.m. Friday. Hunter alerted to the passenger side door and driver's door of the vehicle. Suspected methamphetamines were found inside.
-- Deputies went to a state Route 154 home at 5:21 p.m. Saturday where there was a civil dispute. Both parties involved were able to come to a mutual agreement about the property in dispute.
