-- A juvenile driver from Columbiana was cited for running a stop sign after striking a vehicle operated by Stanley Cusick of Lisbon at the intersection of West Spruce and North Beaver Streets on Tuesday.
-- A garbage truck ran over the basement doors of a home at 219 E. Lincoln Way on Tuesday.
Highway Patrol
-- Benjamin Michael J. McEwen, 16, New Waterford, was traveling on Salem Grange Road in Salem Township at 10:18 p.m. Friday when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions and went off the road, striking an embankment and a mailbox before overturning. McEwen was cited with failure to control.
-- Dylan J. Douglas, 25, New Waterford, was traveling on county Road 431 in Unity Township at 5:06 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the road, striking a utility pole. Douglas sustained a suspected minor injury and was cited with failure to control.
-- Amber L. Lacey, struck a deer while driving on state Route 39 in Washington Township at 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
-- A car was found down an embankment off Cameron Road in Madison Township on Saturday with no driver present. The vehicle appeared to have gone off the road and struck a fence and three trees before overturning. The engine was cold upon discovery of the vehicle and it is unable to be determined when the crash occurred. Blood was found on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. No charges will be made until more information is gathered and the driver is identified.
-- Michael D. Ewing, 43, East Liverpool, was cited with failure to yield after he struck the vehicle of Morgan E. Rogers, 26, East Liverpool, on state Route 170 in Middleton Township on Sunday when he attempted a left turn. Ewing sustained possible minor injuries.
-- Michael S. Clay, 38, Magnolia, was cited with an OVI after he struck the vehicle of Robert S. Cole, 47, Rochester, who was attempting to turn into a private drive off of U.S. 30 in West Township at 8:01 p.m. Sunday.
-- Joseph M. Perkins, 18, Lisbon, was cited with failure to control, OVI and endangering children after he attempted to turn around at the intersection of McCormick Run Road and state Route 558 in Madison Township at 10:38 p.m. Friday. Perkins went off the road and struck a stop sign as he attempted to turn. Perkins had three passengers in the car, two of whom were minors. No injuries were sustained.
County Sheriff
-- A scam was reported by the manager at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Lisbon at 8:24 p.m. Sunday. One of the workers had been scammed out of about $2,000 by someone claiming he was from the O'Reilly corporate store and claiming one of the managers were stealing the money so the employee needed to take all the cash out of the store and buy gift cards with it. The employee then gave the person the bar code information for the gift cards.
-- An intoxicated woman throwing things at a McCann Road, Butler Township home was reported to deputies at 12:43 a.m. Monday. She was threatening to break out windows in her husband's vehicle and threw a fan into an empty room. After speaking to deputies, the woman called her parents, who came and convinced her to leave for the night. She called a friend and took her 9-year-old daughter to stay with her there for the night.
-- A loose calf was reported in the area of Rochester and Knox School roads at 11:46 p.m. Sunday. Deputies checked the area, but did not find any cattle.
-- A domestic dispute at a Center Road, Knox Township, home was reported at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies spoke to both people involved, who did not want each other prosecuted.
-- A state Route 517, Elkrun Township, woman reported at 12:49 a.m. Tuesday she was out walking her dog and thought she heard a scream south of her home across the road. Deputies used a spotlight to check both sides of the roadway and sat in the area for about 15 minutes with the windows down, but did not hear or see anything.
-- Deputies and Lisbon police were both called to the Frola Motel, state Route 45, Lisbon, address at 7:11 a.m. Sunday, where people were arguing and refusing to stop when requested. One was really upset and the other was attempting to calm that person down. They were both told if they did not stop, the owner could have them removed. They agreed to quiet down.
-- A Dyke Road, Middleton Township, man reported at 1:40 a.m. Sunday someone has been trespassing on his property. He did not find them, but had heard noises in the leaves behind his home. Deputies also checked the area.
-- A vehicle was reported in a field on McIntosh Road at Cameron Road at 3:42 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle was found on Cameron Road at County Airport Road, where it had crashed into several trees and was laying on the side. Deputies checked the woods and field for the occupant while waiting for the highway patrol to arrived. The person was not found.
-- Someone reported a Dyke Road man was not allowing a woman there to leave the home at 8:16 p.m. Jan. 13. The woman answered the door by herself and said her friends wanted her to leave the house, but she did not want to because he had to work in the morning. Deputies asked her to explain that to her friends.
-- A North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, resident reported at 7:05 a.m. Monday someone stole a package delivered by FedEx from his front porch.
-- A man reported at 4:04 p.m. Jan. 14 someone stole his 2006 Wildfire 150 scooter out of the property of Storage Rentals of America on Strader Road in Madison Township.
-- A Guy Road, Elkrun Township, man reported his wife had assaulted him at 2:23 a.m. Monday, but he refused to prosecute her.
-- Deputies assisted the highway patrol during a traffic stop on Summers Road where there were multiple people in the vehicle at 2:59 p.m. Jan. 7. The driver was charged with OVI and the passenger was released.
-- An Irondale man reported at 9:30 a.m. Monday someone stole his side by side ATV sometime overnight when it was parked behind his father's home on Sixteen School Road in Yellow Creek Township.
-- A hospice patient on North Pleasant Drive, Unity Township, was reported not taking his medications and becoming aggressive toward his mother at 12:20 p.m. Monday. The patient had already been transported by ambulance.
