Highway Patrol

-- A tow truck operator pulling three trailers wrecked while driving on U.S. Route 30, Hanover Township, at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday. Andrew Hamilton, 31 of Ashland, was rounding a bend when two of the trailers went off the right side of the road, disconnected and overturned. This damaged a 400-foot section of Roy Stacey's yard, and 170 gallons of diesel fuel also spilled into the yard, and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency was contacted. Hamilton was cited for failure to control.

-- Lloyd W. Willis, 64, of Rogers, struck a deer while driving on Township Road 741 in Salem Township at 5:14 p.m. Friday.

Lisbon

-- Police were called to the Twin Oaks trailer park to assist sheriff's deputies responding to a domestic dispute at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 5. The dispute was verbal only, and the male half agreed to leave for a while until things calmed down.

-- Cassidy M. Brown had just picked up her child from McKinley Elementary School at 6 p.m. Friday when she put her vehicle in reverse instead of drive and struck the vehicle behind her, operated by Allycia R. Cross. No one was injured.

-- A man who lives on East Lincoln Way saw a UPS driver deliver a package to a vacant home on the street at 11:23 a.m. Saturday. The man checked the package and saw it was for someone he knew, so he took it to police, who notified the person for whom it was intended.

-- Police were called to 213 S. Jefferson St. at 11:52 p.m. Saturday after the residents said someone had just knocked on their door and window. Police checked around the property but did not see anyone about.

-- While driving on Lions Club Road at 7:39 p.m. Saturday police found a man in a stationary Jeep and the officer could smell the odor or raw marijuana. A small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found and confiscated, but the driver was sent on his way.

-- A caller reported Saturday he learned a local man who is a registered sex offender has a You Tube channel. Police confirmed the man was a sex offender and then checked out the site and discovered the person had over 500,000 subscribers. The channel posted videos of singing and wishing children happy birthday. The officer also discovered recent posts had popped up about the man being a registered sex offender. Because the man lives just outside of town, the sheriff's office was notified and they were already aware of the man, who is currently hospitalized. The sheriff's office reported it had also already been contacted by several people from outside of Ohio who said the man had been communicating with minors.

-- A man who lives at 314 W. Lincoln Way reported Dec. 7 his black and white Diamondback mountain bike had been stolen.

-- A clerk at Dollar General reported Wednesday catching a man shoplifting after seeing him stuff a container of motor oil and box of garbage bags down his pants. The man took the motor oil out after being confronted and then he and his woman companion left in a dark tan Jeep. She said they have been known to shoplift at the local Discount Drug Mart too.

-- Michael J. Samberson of Salineville and Matthew S. Jackson of Lisbon were driving in the opposite direction on East Chestnut Street at 1:53 p.m. Dec. 8 when the side mirrors on their vehicles clipped each other.
