COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL
LISBON -- A Dec. 21 preliminary hearing was set for Codey A. Mobley, 26, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, charged with burglary, a second-degree felony, and domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Mobley is additionally scheduled for arraignment today on a second-degree felony charge of escape and two counts of resisting arrest. He is currently being held in the jail on $100,000 cash or surety bond and was ordered to have no contact with Sarah Berdine or to go to Independence Square in Wellsville.
Austin A. Angeli, 33, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, was found competent to stand trial and waived his right to a preliminary hearing for a first-degree felony burglary charge and a misdemeanor assault charge. Angeli was previously ordered to have no contact with anyone from a Vine Avenue, Salem, address.
William B. Royal, 23, West Middletown Road, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on a fifth-degree felony breaking and entering charge after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Monday.
Jaycent J. Staats, 37, U.S. Route 30, East Rochester, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony, and misdemeanor charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, endangering children, driving under suspension and insecure load.
A Feb. 22 pretrial was set for Samantha K. Thomas, 35, Canton, cited with OVI first offense and speeding.
A Jan. 26 pretrial was set for John E. Seddon IV, 36, Barclay Avenue, Salem, cited with driving under suspension and failure to yield the right of way.
A Feb. 22 pretrial was set for Andrew E. VanHorn, 22, Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, cited with failure to comply, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. VanHorn allegedly ran from a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway on Dec. 11, including running through the back door of a New Garden Avenue home where he reportedly hid behind a couch before lunging at police officers.
A Feb. 22 pretrial was set for Austin L. VanHorn, 19, New Garden Avenue, Salem, charged with underage consumption, failure to comply, resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
A Jan. 4 pretrial was set for Derrik A. Bruce, 33, Sebring, charged with receiving stolen property.
A Feb. 25 pretrial was set for Ryan M. Thompson, 38, Vine Avenue, Salem, cited with obstructing official business.
A Feb. 22 pretrial was set for Jorge V. Cruz, 32, Akron, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.
Raistlin M. Ross, 19, Akron, was fined $100, credited with 28 days in jail and sentenced to an additional three days in jail for drug abuse.
Joshua T. Ritchey, 35, Cold Snow Road, Minerva, was fined $150 for a miscellaneous wildlife violation.
Cory Adam Cusick, 28, Adams Road, East Palestine, was fined $75 for a miscellaneous wildlife violation.
Cody R. Hughes, 28, West Line Street, Minerva, was fined $250 for a miscellaneous wildlife violation.
Nicholas D. Wukotich, 19, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was fined $150 for hunting without a deer permit.

Valerie and Robert Reeves, Hubbard, vs. Dominic J. Peters, M.D., et al., excess of $25,000 sought for alleged medical malpractice by the physician and others at the Salem Orthopaedic Surgery.
Melissa L. Miller, Salem, vs. Columbiana County Educational SVC Center, et al., appeal sought of workers' compensation claim.
Discover Bank vs. Michael L. Ritterspach, defendant ordered to pay plaintiff $48,466 plus interest.
County Treasurer vs. David A. Coulter, et al., foreclosure ordered for property on Water Street, Salineville.

COLUMBIANA COUNTY GRAND JURY
LISBON -- Luke D. Hertweck, 24, Pittsburgh, Pa., was served a secret indictment charging him with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor two. Hertweck allegedly attempted to flee from police on Aug. 12. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in October.
Krissy L. Billiter, 27, Fairway Road, East Liverpool, is charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both second-degree felonies. Billiter allegedly was distributing methamphetamines on June 14, when she was found to allegedly have more than five times the bulk amount by less than 50 times the bulk amount. The indictment was issued in November.
EAST LIVERPOOL MUNICIPAL
EAST LIVERPOOL -- In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Brandy N. Pinkerton, of Lisbon Street, was set Dec. 23 for pretrial on a driving under suspension charge.
Ashley D. Bable, of St. Clair Avenue, was set April 1 for pretrial on OVI, no operator's license and marked lanes' violations.
Kaiya J. Edge, of Sprucevale Road, was sentenced to a $150 fine plus costs and a 30-day jail sentence (one imposed) on a theft charge and banned from all Columbiana County Dollar General stores. She is set for review at Feb. 5.
Katrina R. Stanley, of Canton, Pa., was set April 1 for pretrial on no operator's license, drug paraphernalia and marijuana paraphernalia charges.
Cameron R. Miller, of Daisy Alley, was set April 1 for pretrial on no operator's license, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving on a sidewalk charges as well as failure to comply.
Tasha A. Tisdale, of Laurel Lane, was sentenced to a $150 fine plus costs on a driving under suspension charge and set for review Feb. 5.
Patricia J. Exline, of 10th Street Extension in Wellsville, is set for pretrial Jan. 12 on a theft charge.
Dawn L. Acker, of Sunnyside Street, was set Jan. 6 for a second pretrial on a display of plates' charge.
Ivan Thayer, of Shadyside Drive, was sentenced to $150 plus costs on a driving under suspension charge and set to return for review Feb. 5.
Jeffery J. Wilson, of Ninth Avenue, was set Jan. 6 for pretrial on driving under suspension and a rear light charge.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY COURT NEWS
Sherman A. Pritt Jr., 41, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to violating a temporary protection order. This charge was for violating a protection order on Sept. 5, 2019, when he had three prior convictions in East Liverpool Municipal Court only a day earlier for violating the terms of a protection order. He faces up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine. Sentencing is set for April 1.
