LISBON -- Heather R. Pittman, 45, Youngstown, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to theft and misuse of credit cards, both third-degree felonies. Both charges were lesser-included offenses to the charges she was initially facing – a first-degree felony theft from a person in a protected class and a second-degree felony misuse of credit cards. On Sept. 16, 2014 through the first of January 2019, Pittman was involved using funds from Alfred S. Levine's various business accounts without his consent, including using credit cards without an elderly or disabled adult's permission. She faces up to six years in prison and a $20,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Dec. 7.
James M. Bushman, 46, Commerce Street, Wellsville, stipulated to violating the terms of his community control for a possession of drugs charge. His community control was dishonorably terminated and he was sentenced to a year in prison with credit for 141 days previously served in the matter. The charge was for having 17 knotted bags containing 6.795 grams of cocaine he was asked to conceal in his pants by a co-defendant on April 12, 2017.
Joshua J.L. Lapin, 31, South Range Road, North Lima, stipulated to violating the terms of his community control, which was then dishonorably terminated. Lapin was instead sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for 132 already served for aggravated possession of drugs for having methamphetamine on June 6, 2019.
