LISBON -- In county Municipal Court, Kristopher M. Norton, 43, Canal Street, East Rochester, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the grand jury on charges of domestic violence and criminal trespassing. Norton is accused of entering a Green Street property of Michael Lawson on Aug. 9, attempting to provoke a physical altercation when Norton has been ordered in the past not to go there. Norton shoved his wife, Leslie Norton, attempting to get to Lawson.
Ashley D. House, 32, West Pershing Street, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of theft, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business. House allegedly did not scan $503 in Walmart merchandise at the Salem store on Aug. 20 and refused to stop when employees attempted to get her to do so, hiding evidence and herself in a nearby field with bushes where she was found by police. House also was fined $1,075, credited with seven days in jail and sentenced to an additional eight days in jail for driving under a forfeiture suspension, failure to register a dog, failure to confine a dog, marijuana paraphernalia and two counts of wrongful entrustment and drug paraphernalia.
Cody A. Barham, 27, homeless, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of vandalism, assault and two counts of harassment with a bodily substance. An inmate at the county jail on Aug. 17, Barham allegedly ripped the phone off the wall in the booking area, destroyed three windows with glass striking one officer and spat in the face of two more officers.
A Sept. 3 preliminary hearing was set for Josie M. McKinley, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, charged with felonious assault for allegedly stabbing Shawn Tremain, her boyfriend, multiple times in the arms with a steak knife around July 3.
Patricia L. Hall, 70, Goshen Road, Salem, was fined $1,075, had her license suspended for a year, sentenced to 30 days in jail and required 40 hours community service for physical control.
Wade S. Hilderbrand, 32, Spillway Road, Lisbon, was fined $925, had his license suspended for a year and required to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense and failure to control.
Eric Hubbell, 42, Fairfield, Ct., was fined $725, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense.
An Oct. 15 pretrial was set for Mathew E. Huston, 32, Bye Road, East Palestine, cited with OVI first offense and failure to control.
Gerald A. Dipanfilo, 68, Warren, was fined $300, credited with eight days served in jail and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia for a crack pipe in his center cup holder on July 2.
Chad Iler, 47, Southington, was fined $150, credited with three days in jail and required 20 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from aggravated menacing for threatening Rick Styen with a butcher knife while demanding a set of keys in the presence of a 9-year-old child on Dec. 21.
An Oct. 13 pretrial was set for Chloe Sorgman, Black Road, Lisbon, charged with contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child, complicity to commit theft and obstructing official business. Sorgman allegedly attempted to steal a bicycle off a front porch on Wood Street, East Palestine, and serving as a look out while her 17-year-old cousin stole about $2 in change out of an unlocked vehicle on Wednesday. Both had fled when police attempted to apprehend them, but Sorgman reportedly admitted they were hard up for money and trying to make some "anyway they could."
Rachel J. Eason, 50, Grant Street, Lisbon, was fined $300, sentenced to 10 days in jail and required 40 hours community service for two counts disorderly conduct with one of them amended from a domestic violence. On July 6, Eason was involved in an altercation with Sara Eason, pushing her to the ground and holding her there, as well as screaming and smacking her own head off the items in the yard.
An Oct. 19 pretrial was set for Richard A. Castelucci, 45, North Canton, charged with telecommunications harassment and menacing for allegedly calling the Salem Police Department repeatedly regarding an incident between his brother and police earlier, using profanities and threatening a Salem dispatcher by saying that he was coming for them on June 10.
Jimmy Lee Newell, 49, Canton, was fined $400, credited with 21 days served, sentenced to an additional 54 days in jail and required 40 hours community service for illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility and criminal trespassing. On March 21, Newell trespassed onto the grounds of the FCI Elkton Federal Prison while attempting to deliver five cell phones with chargers and tobacco.
An Aug. 31 pretrial was set for Codey Allen Mobley, 26, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, charged with aggravated menacing, criminal damaging and criminal trespass for allegedly smashed out the window of Sarah Berdine's apartment in Independence Square while she was sitting at the table with her boyfriend on Aug. 19.
Brandon A. Hoschar, 25, West Perry Street, Salem, was fined $250, sentenced to five days in jail and required 40 hours community service for theft for leaving the Salem Walmart on May 26 without paying for a $40 flashlight.
A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Todd O. Dean, 40, Aetna Street, Salem, cited with drug paraphernalia for allegedly having marijuana roaches in the vehicle, small plastic bags with trace amounts of suspected methamphetamines and two suspected methamphetamine pipes in a backpack on Wednesday.
Joshua D. Stewart, 31, West Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $350, credited with six days served in jail and sentenced to an additional 24 days in jail for driving under suspension, a turn signals violation and drug paraphernalia for a narcotics glass pipe in his back pack on Aug. 20.
A Sept. 14 pretrial was set for Joseph E. Frantz III, 38, and Ryan Frantz, 19, both of West Washington Street, Lisbon, and charged with menacing for allegedly threatening Lisbon Patrolman Will Grodhaus on Aug. 6.
Jessie M. McArtor, 44, Bethel Drive, Salem, was credited with a day in jail, fined $150 and required 40 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from assault. Holly C. Bloom, 44, Bethel Drive, Salem, was also credited with a day in jail, fined $150 and required 40 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from assault. The two women were involved in a physical confrontation when Bloom confronted McArtor about trespassing in Bloom's mother's barn on July 6.
A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Amy C. Watkins, 52, West Sixth Street, Salem, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly staggering down the middle of one of the lanes of Allen Road near Pennsylvania Avenue in Salem after admittedly drinking a pint of vodka.
A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Michael J. Schneider, 24, Youngstown, charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument.
Robert P. Gomola Jr., 50, Riverview Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.
A driving under suspension citation against Monica E. Grimm, 44, Water Street, Salineville, was dismissed after it was determined she is now valid and had insurance.
Nicholas Kovacs, 38, Youngstown, was sentenced to five days in jail, fined $250 and ordered 30 hours community service for driving under FRA suspension.
An Oct. 19 pretrial was set for Wesley E. Rodocker, 32, Youngstown, cited with driving under suspension.
Devonte J. Pullie, 24, Brightview Drive, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under FRA suspension.
Nichole Michelle Hilton, 50, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $100 for criminal trespassing for going into the East Lincoln Way apartment of Travis Wallace, when she knew she is not permitted to be there on Aug. 17.
Vincent Gentile, 64, Danbury Way, Columbiana, was fined $100 for speeding.
An Oct. 6 pretrial was set for Rebecca Kirby, 38, North Market Street, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension.
An Oct. 1 pretrial was set for Victor Joel Rivera Beltran, 27, Youngstown, cited with operating a vehicle without a valid license.
