The Hancock County Sheriff Department responded to a flipped vehicle on state Route 8 Thursday. Lt. Chad Lamp reported the call came around 12:30 p.m. He said the driver had driven off the road and flipped their Ford pickup truck. Lamp suspects the accident was a result of the heavy rain, but the department will be investigating. There were no passengers and the driver was not seriously injured. Deputies were assisted by a tow truck and emergency medical technicians. (Photo by Julie Riedel)
