Columbiana County Common Pleas
LISBON — A Pennsylvania woman avoided prison time for defrauding the state of more than $20,000 in public assistance benefits.
Tracy Wright-Krall, 35, of Enon Valley, was sentenced by Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Megan Bickerton to four years’ probation after pleading guilty as charged to two counts of theft and one count of Medicaid fraud. She was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $23,042 to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
According to court records, she provided fraudulent information about her assets in order to obtain Medicaid coverage between August 2016 and Oct. 31, 2017. Between November 2016 and Oct. 31, 2017, she also used deception to obtain SNAP benefits, more commonly known as food stamps.
In other court action, Khalis (aka “Takeover”) Collins, 23, of Canton, pleaded guilty as charged to two counts of drug trafficking and one count of drug possession. The crimes occurred in October 2017, when Collins sold fentanyl on three occasions to an informant working with the county drug task force.
Collins is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 15.
Michael S. Pitts, 27, state Route 644, Summitville, pleaded guilty as charged to one count of cocaine possession, one count of aggravated possession of heroin, one count of aggravated possession of fentanyl, one count of possessing tramadol, and one count of possessing hashish oil. The crimes occurred in August 2018, and Pitts is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 19.
