A Feb. 7 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Brandon M. House, 23, Summer Road, East Rochester, charged with theft for allegedly taking a 2008 Mercury Mariner from Advanced Auto Network LLC on Canal Street, Hanoverton, on either Jan. 24 or 25.
David Gail Muntean, 67, Raley Road, New Waterford, was fined $755, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense, marked lanes and a seat belt violation.
Peter John Thompson, 59, Oak Street, Leetonia, was fined $675, had his license suspended for a year, ordered to attend a three-day counseling program and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense.
Kenneth C. Miller, 70, Applegate Road, Lisbon, was fined $750 for a workers’ compensation plan violation, but the fines were suspended provided he consistently make payments to the the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.
Alexander T. Pecor, 18, Signal Road, Columbiana, was fined $100, credited with two days in jail and required 50 hours community service for inducing panic for making comments on Snapchat stating people had better watch their backs at school, leading to at least two people believing he was talking about hurting people at Crestview Schools on Nov. 9. Pecor also has been ordered to attend and complete high school.
An April 9 pretrial was set for Sarah E. Johnson, 28, East Third Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking her husband, Steven Johnson, in the face and head on Dec. 22.
A Feb. 7 pretrial was set for Richard A. Baker, 30, Seigler Road, Lisbon, charged with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly driving his vehicle next to Christy Baker in the parking lot of Family Dollar in Leetonia on Jan. 21, while making rude comments and making obscene gestures. A jury trial was set for Feb. 13 for Baker, who also is charged with aggravated menacing and telecommunications harassment from his alleged actions in August — threatening his mother-in-law Tina Sheely and making 125 calls to Christy Baker.
A March 21 pretrial was set for Ronald G. Barson, 53, Bacon Avenue, East Palestine, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly threatening to harm Joseph Altenburg with a wooden bat he called “Louie” which was sitting next to him in his car.
Mark A. Handley, 60, Bolivar Road, Wellsville, was fined $250, credited with a day in jail and required 30 hours community service for assault amended from domestic violence for striking his wife in the back twice and kicking her while she was on the ground on Oct. 29.
Dale A. Coppock, 52, state Route 558, New Waterford, was fined $200, required 40 hours community service and ordered to pay $300 in restitution to Venezia Auto Sales for passing bad checks and fictitious plates.
Julie A. Gatrell, 47, state Route 45, Wellsville, was fined $100 and required 20 hours community service for passing bad checks for a $462 check to Scullion Vision Center written in late October, which was returned for insufficient funds. Gatrell has already paid restitution.
Brandon White, 40, Waddell Street, Leetonia, was fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Anthony R. Sevek, 30, Jefferson Street, Salineville, was fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Damian M. Hawkins, 20, state Route 164, Lisbon, was fined $150 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.
Richard P. Detwiler, 81, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
A Feb . 26 pretrial was set for Charlene M. Sias, 41, Elkton Road, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension.
A Feb. 19 pretrial was set for Thomas E. Fortuna, 47, Hartford, cited with failure to reinstate a license and failure to yield.
A Feb. 7 pretrial was set for Sara Christine Noling, 31, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, cited with driving under FRA suspension.
Angela M. Chechuck, 35, Harvey Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $100 for an equipment violation amended from improper turn.
Harold R. Feezle, 59, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $150 for speeding.
James D. Buehman, 30, Canton, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Franklin D. Wright, 32, Millrock Road, Rogers, was fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Dakota A. Best, 21, Salem-Alliance Road, Salem, was fined $100 and required 20 hours community service for use of an unauthorized plate.
