Virginia Mills, Buffalo Road, Hanoverton, reported at 3:48 a.m. Monday a relative has been harassing her. Deputies called the relative and left a message for her to stop.
Kenneth Macall, Fredericktown Clarkson Road, Negley, reported at 4:52 a.m. Monday he is the owner and operator of a semi truck parked on the pull-off just south of Rogers. Sometime over the weekend someone broke into the side window taking a small amount of change and some DVDs.
David Gilbert, Leslie Road, Lisbon, reported at 12:42 a.m. Monday his girlfriend had been throwing things and made false accusations against him. Deputies spoke to Christy Slager, who said she planned to leave Monday morning because she was having a hard time getting along with Gilbert. Both agreed there would be no more yelling.
Timothy Foster, Walnut Street, Rogers, reported at 3:47 a.m. Sunday he assaulted his wife and needed to go to jail. Deputies spoke to Veronica Foster, who said her husband was highly intoxicated and did not want to leave a party. They argued, but she said nothing physical happened. Timothy Foster returned home a short time later and demanded deputies take him to jail. He became upset when deputies told him because he did nothing wrong he was not going to jail. He offered to kick the deputy in the crotch if he would then go to jail. Deputies told him he would regret that decision. Foster eventually went inside and passed out.
Eugene Tripp, Alderlick Road, Salineville, reported at 11:30 a.m. Monday he received a letter from the BMV wanting him to send proof of insurance for a 2012 Ford pickup. Tripp told deputies he does not own such a truck and he called the BMV, but was waiting for a supervisor to call him back.
Hugh Ward, Navajo Trail, Negley, reported at 11:29 a.m. Monday he parked his semi truck, which belongs to JB Hunt at the Y-Inn in Rogers on Friday. On Monday he returned to find someone broke into it taking a Magnum CB radio, Ram McNally GPS and a Bluetooth. The passenger’s side window was broken.
Dennis Stock, East Palestine dispatcher, reported at 10:26 a.m. Sunday there was a suspicious person at the Dollar General in New Waterford. Deputies found Jay Farrow inside and he told deputies he was just shopping for a phone card. Deputies left, but were called back at 1 p.m. when the manager told deputies Farrow was outside asking people for money. He was told to leave and not return.
Dana Duffield, Center Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 2:36 p.m. Monday she and Floyd Gilmore got into an argument and he was hitting her. Gilmore was not there, but deputies called him. He came from his mother’s home where he said he was eating. He claimed he never touched Duffield and she had no marks. She signed a refusal to prosecute form.
Deputies checked Hill Street near Black Road in Center Township for a wire reportedly hanging low across the roadway at 12:45 p.m. Friday. Deputies did not find it.

Mark Gromley, 48, Emerick Road, Kensington, was arrested after allegedly pointing a loaded shotgun at deputies responding to a domestic dispute at his residence about 7 p.m. Saturday. Gladys Gromley called to say she and her husband had been arguing and that she was afraid because he was in the bedroom drunk with loaded weapons. When deputies opened the bedroom door they saw Mr. Gromley pointing a shotgun at them. The deputies were able to talk Mr. Gromley into putting down the shotgun, but after they secured the weapons he began to resist while they arrested him. Mr. Gromley was charged with aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and handling weapons while intoxicated.
Bridgette Bader, Allegheny Trail, Negley, reported Wednesday the veterinarian who treated her sick dog determined her pet had been poisoned, and she believes it may have been deliberate.

Deputies responded Saturday to a home on Grant Street near Lisbon where a woman committed suicide.
Jerry Metz, Center Street, Lisbon, reported Saturday approximately $10 in change was stolen from his home while he was at church. Neighbors told him Dana Duffield and Floyd Gilmore saw him going in the house.

Cherrie Bailey, state Route 154, Rogers, reported at 3 p.m. Wednesday that Shanna Perronoud was assaulted by Haley Moore at Moore’s residence on Y & O Road, Madison Township. Perrenoud said Moore grabbed her by the hair, punched her in the face and then kicked her and slammed her head off a dresser. Moore, 18, was charged with assault.
Billy Jo Williams, Old Lincoln Highway, Madison Township, reported a possible burglary at 5:17 a.m. Friday. A deputy arrived to find an open garage door but did not find anyone about.
Donald Johnson, Morris Road, Rogers, reported an accidental shooting at 10:12 p.m. Thursday. Johnson said he was in the process of unloading his firearm when he accidentally pulled the trigger, shooting himself in the right hand. He was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment.
Rick Laughlin, Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, reported Thursday that sometime in the past two week the motor was stolen from the boat stored outside on his property.
Missy and Rick Faloba, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, reported at 5:22 p.m. Thursday hearing the sound of something striking the outside of the garage they are living in and then finding fragments of the sandstone retaining wall and marks in the wall as well. While they could not hear gunshots, they believe that is what occurred. A deputy found a vehicle in a pasture some distance away and contacted the owner, Brent Nelson, who said had been bow hunting but he did not hear any gunshots, nor did he possess a firearm.

Deputies responded to a reported fight at the Rogers Group Home at 5:43 p.m. Monday. Employee Charles Powell saw a boy assault another boy after first spitting on him. The boy was taken into custody and transferred to the county juvenile detention facility.
Matt McVay, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, reported Monday he was standing at the end of his driveway when Joey McVay drove toward him, forcing him to jump into the ditch.
Paul Jarvis, Bethesda Road, Hanoverton, reported tools and ladders were stolen this summer from a semi-trailer he stores on property on Morris Road in Elkrun Township owned by William Mueller of Wilson, N.Y. Jarvis discovered Tuesday a camper kept at the property had also recently been stolen.
Deputies were called to a home on Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, at 3 p.m. Tuesday after a woman’s 14-year-old grandson began acting unruly. The boy asked for the keys to the pickup truck to retrieve a chainsaw when he decided to drive the truck through the field, leaving ruts in the lawn in the process. The deputy spoke to the boy and told him he needed to listen to his grandmother or she could file unruly charges against him.
Jennifer Fitzsimmons, Woodville Road, Leetonia, reported at 7 p.m. Tuesday her husband came to the residence about an hour ago in violation of a protection order. She intends to pursue charges.
Deputies were called to the Town and Country Trailer Park, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in regard to Mary Showman and Mike Gill outside yelling. Showman had since left the residence but she said it was only an argument and nothing physical occurred.
Scott Berry of Sullivan reported an engagement ring was lost or stolen while he was at Christmas in the Woods in Fairfield Township on Saturday.

Deputies were called to a domestic dispute on Buck Road, Beloit, at 9:11 p.m. Sunday. The 16-year-old boy was taken into custody for probation violations and was taken to a local hospital to be examined after the boy admitted drinking some beer that was given to him.
Jim Desellem, Hull Road, Salineville, reported there was someone trespassing on his property at 8:22 a.m. Thursday and the person verbally abused him when told to leave. A deputy and state game warden arrived, and the game warden handled the situation, with the deputy serving as backup.
Deputies were called to Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, at 7 p.m. Sunday after an 11-year-old girl said she bruised her shin while trying to get away from her father, who was trying to spank her. The girl said her father often beats her. The father appeared intoxicated, and it was agreed that the girl should spend the night with her former foster parent.
Daniel Stonemetz, 56, Mountz Road, Minerva, was cited for OVI, driving left of center and driving with fictitious plates following a traffic stop on McCann Road in Hanover Township at 8:22 p.m. Monday.
John Miller reported Bob Clewell was going around Votaw Drive, Guilford Lake, banging on doors and causing a disturbance at 6:13 p.m. Sunday. Deputies arrived to find Clewell removing old gas tanks from his property with a tractor, and he was not causing a disturbance.
Dana Featheringham of Minerva reported Monday her grandmother, Beverly Henson, lives on Bower Road, West Township, and she received a letter saying she had failed to file a state income tax return for 2013. Featheringham said Henson has not filed a tax return for years.

Beverly Hentzell, Riverside Avenue, Wellsville, reported Friday someone filed a tax return in her name using her Social Security number. She learned this after being contacted by the IRS saying they needed more information to process the return.
Michelle Mihalko, state Route 154, Lisbon, reported hearing a bunch of banging outside her home at 1:45 a.m. Sunday and then discovered her dog was bleeding after its fur was ripped from two spots on its rear. She later found the following items missing from her shed: 150 pounds of feed, two gallons of rice oil, three halters and lead ropes, four buckets, two bridles, extra fence posts and five fishing poles and reels.
A 12-year-old boy who lives on Steubenville Pike, Center Township, called at 1:57 a.m. Saturday because his parents were arguing and were starting to get physical. The couple denied getting physical with each other and they agreed to settle down.
Dana Duffield, Center Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 12:59 a.m. Saturday seeing two people run into the fire-damaged home of Allen Ingledue, her neighbor. Deputies checked the home but found no one inside or outside. After the deputies left, Duffield called back to say she saw the suspects run from house. The deputies said the area was so dark it would be impossible to see anyone running in or out of the house. A third call was received from residents who said Duffield and her boyfriend, identified only as Floyd, were fighting and he went outside and set fire to a trash bag full of dog feces and clothes. The prosecutor’s office was called and determined there was not enough evidence to arrest Floyd, who was instead given a stern talk by the deputies.
Deputies responded to a possible drug overdose at the Butler Mobile Home Park on U.S. Route 62, Butler Township, at 6 a.m. Friday. A man admitted taking pills because he was depressed over a friend’s recent suicide. Deputies were able to convince him to be transported to a local hospital to be examined.
Rick Kyle reported that Friday night someone drove a vehicle through the No. 5 green at the East Palestine Country Club, Carmel Achor Road, Negley. The vehicle tracks appeared to be from a full-size truck.
Connie Cline reported seeing a man she knows climb through a window into her mobile home on Ellyson Road, Hanover Township, at 11:28 a.m. Saturday. This was after Cline found the man in the mobile home, who told her he was using an electrical outlet to charge his phone. Deputies then spoke with the suspect, Zachary Shasteen, who said Cline gave him permission. Since there was an arrest warrant for Shasteen on something else, he was taken into custody.
A deputy on patrol found a mail box and post in the middle of the road on state Route 172 in West Township at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The deputy was unable to avoid striking the mail box, which he placed in a ditch near the residence where it had been uprooted, before finding a second mail box vandalized in the same manner.
Lisa Delp, Cemetery Road, Hanoverton, reported Saturday night a vehicle was stolen from her property.
Deputies responded to a domestic dispute on East Main Street, Salineville, at 9:26 p.m. Saturday. The dispute was between a mother and her daughter, who had punched her mother in the face before taking a knife and beginning to cut herself. The mother managed to wrest the knife away from her daughter before police arrived, and the daughter was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.

John Olenik, state Route 172, East Rochester, reported at 1 p.m. Sunday his mailbox was knocked down and smashed and there were tire tracks in a nearby field that led to where his mailbox was. The deputy determined a vehicle eastbound went off the road into the field and struck the mailbox while attempting to get back onto the road.
Frank Lasorella, Center Avenue, Lisbon, reported he and his girlfriend were out of town Saturday and returned Sunday morning to find his shed had been broken into. An electric eel drain cleaning machine and four spools of cable were missing along with two snow blowers, two weed eaters, one Porter cable sawzall, one DeWalt sawzall, one Craftsman circular saw, one Milwaukee concrete drill, one Makeeta 18-volt cordless drill, one Coleman 3,500-watt generator, one Sears Craftsman 4,300-watt generator, one 3,500 PSI power washer and four tool boxes of miscellaneous tools.
Shawna Purnell, state Route 164, Lisbon, reported at 2:24 p.m. Sunday her ex-boyfriend David Donohue came to her home on Friday night harassing her and breaking items. She also reported Donohue had called her more than 300 times and that earlier Sunday she came home to find her pumpkins smashed on the front porch, a broken fence gate and a broken lock to the sliding door. A deputy spoke with Donohue who admitted to the phone calls but said he did not damage the property. He agreed he would cease contact with Purnell.
Robert Ewing, Elm Street, Leetonia, requested at noon Sunday a deputy check on a 14-year-old friend of his daughter who sent her a picture of a bloody towel and said she had a broken nose. Ewing also said the girl has reportedly been known to injure herself. A deputy went to the girl’s Lisbon Road home and did not see any visible injuries and also checked the messages that were sent to Ewing’s daughter but did not see any pictures or texts pertaining to the complaint.
Lisa Coles, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 10:12 a.m. Sunday two of her unlocked vehicles and her garage were entered Saturday night and change was taken from one vehicle and her daughter’s Beaver Local varsity jacket was taken from the other. No items were reported missing from the garage.
Floyd Blake, Midland, Pa., requested at 1 p.m. Sunday a deputy check on his girlfriend on Miller Road who had sent him a text message stating that she was tired of her life and that she was sorry. A deputy went to her home and spoke with owner and his wife, who said the woman had left with her young child about an hour ago headed toward Ohioville, Pa. Deputies notified neighboring departments of the report and Midland police stopped the woman and found there were no problems.
Danny Shultz reported at 8:50 a.m. Sunday someone attempted to break into a detached garage on Lisbon Road in Leetonia that is owned by Jerry Taylor, who lives there.
Joe McVay, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, reported at 11:52 p.m. Sunday he spent the night in his van over at his neighbor’s home and sometime that evening someone stole his 24-foot-wide camper that he lives in. A relative had advised him it was taken by his cousin, Matthew McVay, who had sold it through the night to a couple of heroin dealers from Youngstown who needed a place to live. McVay reported the camper was last seen on his mother’s property on Trinity Church Road and he did not have a title on it and the license plates on it were expired.
Deputies attempted to check on a man at an apartment on Waterford Road at 12:23 a.m. on Oct. 11, but did not locate anyone.

Jeff Bailey, Endley Road, Lisbon, reported at 12:23 a.m. Tuesday that Jared Coil, no address given, was at Bailey’s residence intoxicated and started trouble before he left. Shortly after a deputy found an unoccupied vehicle on Steubenville Pike last driven by Coil, a second call came in that Coil returned and caused more trouble. Coil was found passed out at a gas station in Lisbon by a deputy and officers from Lisbon and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and was taken into custody on a county warrant.
Piper Foraker, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 10:43 a.m. Friday she found a threatening letter in her mailbox. Foraker said the letter did not go through the mail, and that someone placed the letter in the box. Betty Sheely, state Route 7, New Waterford, spoke with a deputy at 12:50 p.m. Friday regarding evictions, and a deputy advised her of the process.
Rick Kyler, Carmel Achor Road, Negley, reported on behalf of East Palestine Country Club at 8:44 a.m. Saturday a vehicle, believed to be a full-size truck, came on to the number five green and caused damage.
Connie Cline, Ellyson Road, East Rochester, reported at 11:28 a.m. Saturday she saw Zachary Shasteen climb through the kitchen window and go in her mobile home. Deputies checked the mobile home and at first found it to be empty. She then stated she went to the mobile home before deputies arrived and spoke with Shasteen, who stated he was using a electrical outlet to charge his cell phone, which she said she had not given him permission. It was later learned during the investigation that Shasteen had a warrant for his arrest, and Shasteen was then taken into custody and taken to the county jail.County Sheriff

Marcia Cunningham, 16 School Road, Irondale, went to the East Liverpool City Hospital after starting to “feel funny” after an argument with her adult daughter became physical. The hospital contacted the sheriff’s office at 3:47 a.m. Sunday. Cunningham refused to pursue charges.
Lisa Smith, Margaret Lane, Alliance, reported her husband, Brian Smith, threw a bowl of Ramen noodles at her at 4:55 p.m. Thursday. He had refused to give her a ride to her motorcycle, and she slammed the door when she left. That is when he reportedly came outside and threw a Styrofoam bowl of noodles at her. He told deputies she struck him after he threw the bowl. Both signed a refusal to prosecute.
A boy on Crestview Road, Columbiana, was reminded at 7:38 p.m. Thursday he needs to stay with his father and listen to his parents.
Derek Delp, Westville Lake Road, Beloit, reported at 7:49 p.m. Thursday items were taken from his pole building, and he was compiling a list.
Amy Haun, Butler Grange Road, Salem, reported at 8:49 p.m. Thursday two children were throwing toilets into the roadway. The two reportedly busted a green and pink toilet in the road but cleaned the toilets up after learning Haun was calling deputies.
Mary Beatty, state Route 39, Wellsville, reported at 2:30 p.m. Thursday she had several messages from a man with a foreign accent on her answering machine, warning her she needed to call a number and pay a large amount of money owed to the government. Beatty believed the calls were fraudulent. Deputies called the number and a voicemail from a man with a foreign accent claims to be the desk of David Miller of the IRS Investigative Division. The mailbox is full and will not accept new messages.
David Pickens, state Route 170, Negley, reported he gave a saddle and a horse to someone to take to the Sugar Creek Livestock Auction on Friday, Oct. 10. The man told Pickens the saddle brought only $30 and the horse only $350. He paid Pickens half as they had agreed. Pickens believes both should have brought more money. Deputies explained it is a civil matter.

Rachelle Ferrall, Y and O Road, East Liverpool, reported at 5:14 p.m. Monday she was assaulted by a process server at her home, who was trying to serve papers to a Nate Nightingale. When Ferrall said she would not accept the papers, the man reportedly laid them on the porch. She picked them up and said she was going to put them in his truck, when he began running toward the vehicle. She claims he stiff armed her, nearly knocking her to the ground. When she yelled at him for hitting her, he reportedly claimed to be with the sheriff’s office and told her she will be going to jail. She threw the papers through an empty window and he threw them back striking her in the face. Ferrall provided deputies with the vehicle’s registration and identified the photo they showed her of the registered owner as the man who was at her home. The matter is under investigation.
Rebecca Thompson, Lisbon Canfield Road, Salem, reported a domestic situation at 12:29 p.m. Friday. Mark Menough wanted her to leave, but Thompson said she and her daughter were not going anywhere because they had no place to go. Menough allegedly hit a coffee cup while it was in her hand, spilling the coffee. He agreed to go back to work.
Luke Worden, Center Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 5:25 a.m. Thursday he believes someone was messing around with the house across the street from his residence, which caught fire the day before. Deputies checked the home, but found no one around.
Ben Cattrell, Fairfield School, Columbiana, reported at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday he came home to find his garage door was open and the door into the house had been forced open. He was missing a flat screen TV, camera and lenses. Someone went through his dresser drawers and took a pillow case from his bed.
Susan McCullough, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, reported at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday she wanted deputies to help her check on an elderly neighbor she had not seen in several days. Deputies went to the back door patio and knocked on the door. They asked her to come to the door, but she said she had fallen and hurt her leg. She declined to go to the hospital.

Matthew Norton, Mill Rock Road, Negley, reported a domestic situation at 8:08 p.m. Saturday. Nicholas Norton told deputies he and his brother got into an argument, which became physical, but his brother left about 15 minutes before deputies arrived.
Connie Cox, Charlton Street, Lisbon, reported at 6:55 p.m. Saturday someone at Marks Landing threatened her 11-year-old grandson. Deputies spoke to Dave Desario, who said the child threatened him, but Desario did not make any threats. Deputies warned both sides to cease.

Sherry Kissinger, owner of Humtown Self Storage on state Routes 46 and 7, reported at 10:26 p.m. Monday, she returned home after being gone for a few days and found nine of her storage units broken into.
Kirt Conser, Winona Road, Winona, reported at 12:45 a.m., Oct. 7, they could hear a car alarm going off. Deputies found George Poling, intoxicated and asleep in his truck. He said he is fixing up a place where he plans to move, began to drink and lost his keys. He thought it was better to sleep it off instead of drive if he found his keys. Deputies gave him a ride back to his apartment in Salem.
Courtney, an employee of Guilford Grille, Hanoverton, reported at 11:14 p.m. Monday they needed someone removed. Deputies found the man, who was intoxicated, causing trouble and refusing to leave. He was given a ride home.
Jennifer Lease, Winona Road, Salem, reported at 4:23 p.m. Saturday her son’s father was at the United Local football game on Saturday. When she and her boyfriend were walking across the field being announced as the parents of her son, the boy’s father approached both of them and started an argument because he was not announced as the father. Lease felt he was trying to start a fight and claimed his girlfriend was making threats. She also has a court order keeping him away from her.
Gabrielle Romigh, Tower Road, Salem, reported at 5:58 p.m. Sunday she wanted a person removed. Deputies spoke to John Lafleme, who recently moved out of his home due to someone not giving him money properly. He came back on Sunday to get his EBT card and hunting knife, he left behind, but the people at the house would not give it to him. Deputies talked to Bryce Stenger, who said he cut the EBT card in half because it has his name on it and would not give back the knife because he believed it was not of legal size. Deputies found the knife normal sized and legal. The knife and both pieces of the card were returned to Lafleme.
Freda Roberts, Forbes Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:12 a.m. Friday there was a suspicious vehicle in her driveway. Deputies did not find anyone out of the ordinary.
Jason Edwards, state Route 154, Rogers, reported at 3:37 a.m. Sunday he heard his car alarm go off twice. Deputies found someone had wiped away the dew from his window to look inside and sat something down leaving a circular spot on the roof of his car. Edwards and his girlfriend were watching the home for the homeowners.
Jennifer Dailey, Edwards Circle, Columbiana, reported at 9:13 p.m. Sunday someone with a key to her house entered it and took the mail. She believes it may have been her husband, whom she has a protection order against.
Helen Myers, South 12th Street, Beloit, reported at 10:50 p.m. Sunday she saw a man standing in her yard and she chased him 30 minutes before she called police.
Randy Hetrick, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, reported a possible domestic situation at 8:38 p.m. Sunday. He and his brother got into an argument which escalated into a physical altercation. The matter will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
Marcus Moxley, Frischcorn Drive, Wellsville, reported at 6:55 p.m. Friday his ex-girlfriend, Kristie Reed, has been harassing him by telephone.
Joe Reed, Bell Road, Rogers, reported at 7:19 p.m. Sunday there was a domestic dispute, but when deputies arrived they could not find anyone at the home.

Chrissy Shaffer, Vine Street, Enon Valley, Pa., reported at 1:33 a.m. Monday her boyfriend had her purse and would not give it to her. John Andrews Jr., state Route 170, told deputies he did not have the purse and she must have left it somewhere. He claimed he was asleep when she began pounding on the bedroom window from outside the trailer and broke it. She had a cut on her right hand, which she claimed she received when Andrews shoved her to the ground. However, she had no dirt on her clothes. Shaffer was told she was not welcome there and was transported down the road to a place she was welcome to stay until morning.
Michael Copeland, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, reported at 1:23 p.m. Sunday Lynette Sprouse took his vehicle without permission. She told him she was on the way back with the vehicle and it was returned later in the day.

Deputies checked on a Wellsville area woman at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday after she had not been to the hospital to see her husband in two days, which was unusual. Deputies went to the house and found a neighbor mowing the lawn. The neighbor said the vehicle the woman drives was there earlier, but was gone at that time. It was later learned she was ill and in Steubenville.
A Salem woman reported at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday she is a nurse and had some patient’s worksheets in her papers. She asked her boyfriend to burn the papers when he burned some other household papers. They later broke up and he is now sending her photos of the worksheets, showing that he did not burn them and threatening to turn her into the nursing board and her employer. Her employer told her to file the report.
A worker with Frontier Communications discovered the theft of copper wire from the 29000 block of U.S. Route 30 in Hanover Township after residents reported Thursday they had no phone service. The technician, Jason Jackson, discovered the phone line had been cut and copper wire had been stripped from the line. A neighbor reported hearing dogs barking during the night.
Keith Dole, state Route 558, Leetonia, reported at 8:45 p.m. Oct. 3 a man was walking along the road carrying a blanket. Deputies were unable to locate the person.
Julia Dangelo, Quaker Church Road, Minerva, called in regard to possible trespassing at noon Tuesday. Deputies arrived on Quaker Church Road and spoke with Kevin E. Morris, who said he was renting the property from Nicole Kenseley.
A 911 call was received from 15-year-old girl from Gorby Road, East Palestine, at 3:13 p.m. Monday. The girl said she was upset because her parents had punished her because of poor grades. The deputy told the girl her parents took her phone away because they wanted her to work harder at school and that her phone would be returned once she began getting better grades.
A resident of Carrie Lane, Leetonia, called at 5:42 p.m. Sunday about someone shooting. Deputies went to Grafton Road, where George Duko told them he had been shooting his .22-caliber firearms into a pound area that is his building. The deputy determined Duko was shooting in a safe area, but Duko said he would quit if it was worrying his neighbors.
An 82-year-old Butler Township man reported Thursday he and his wife answered an ad about a personal loan from Membersacc.usa.com and called to apply for a $10,000 loan. The representative told them the couple would need to provide them with the first three months worth of loan payments in advance before the money could be released, so they sent them a check for $811. When the money was not transferred to their bank account, the couple called and another representative who told them $436 was needed to cover the cost of additional paperwork to clear up a glitch that was preventing the loan from going forward. The couple sent the $436 but still did not receive the loan and made more phone calls to other representatives but have yet to receive the loan. The couple was told to contact the attorney general’s office since they could be victims of identity theft after having provided personal identifier information along with their bank account numbers. The deputy also advised them to contact the bank and set up a new bank account.
Deputies were called to a home on Hazel Run Road, Hammondsville, at 9:41 a.m. Thursday to assist an ambulance crew called to the home to transport a resident to the hospital.
Steve Allen reported there was an abandoned pickup truck at the intersection of Sandy Creek and Bayard roads in West Township at 9:52 a.m. Thursday. The truck was gone by the time deputies arrived.
James Soliday, Bayard Road, Minerva, called at 10 a.m. Thursday to seek the removal of Ashley Cloud, who had stayed there the past two days. Soliday said Cloud does not live with him, but he allowed her to spend the past two nights because her apartment had no electricity but she had begun to wear out her welcome. Cloud was told to leave and that she could be arrested if she returned. Cloud then left.
Tracy Crosby, Kelly Park Road, Leetonia, reported at 7:22 a.m. Thursday she heard a noise and saw a pickup truck had lost a wheel and two young males were trying to put the tire back on at the end of her driveway. One of the boys, Silas Neuschwander, said they would repair the damage caused when the tire went through the picket fence and broke some concrete lawn ornaments.
Arnold Dickey, Chestnut Street Extension, Leetonia, reported at 11:20 p.m. Friday that Rebecca S. Dickey took his 2010 Honda without his permission. He called back at 11:53 p.m. and said he found the vehicle and was going to get it in Columbiana. He was advised to contact Columbiana police for any questions.
Fern Osterling, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, reported at 2:15 p.m. Saturday she wanted Renee Snyder out of her son’s home that Osterling owns. A deputy advised her to obtain an eviction from the courts since this was a civil matter.

Jared Adams, West Main Street, Salineville, reported at 3:52 a.m. Wednesday a window was broken out of the Salineville Carryout Arco Station. Deputies found someone threw a basketball-sized piece of cement through the window behind an ice machine. Nothing appeared to be missing but an inventory will be done.
Kaleb Simpson, state Route 7, New Waterford, reported at 1:38 p.m. Wednesday Brian McCall’s cows were loose in his yard earlier, but there was not a problem because McCall was coming home to take care of the livestock. McCall called deputies at 1:50 p.m. to report when he came home the gate was standing open and he noted he has been having issues with his neighbor, Simpson.
Scott Lang, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, reported at 8:39 p.m. Wednesday he had been living with David Wright, but Wright told him to get out, so he grabbed some clothes for a couple days. But now Wright refuses to give him the rest of his belongings including an X-box and a TV. Deputies spoke to Wright, who claimed Lang’s mother took Wright’s vehicle last weekend and damaged it. The vehicle’s repairs are going to cost Wright $500 and he told Lang if he paid the $500 he could get his belongings back. Deputies explained to Wright he cannot do that and he agreed to return Lang’s belongings.

Scott Joy, Hibbetts Mill, Wellsville, reported at 4:24 a.m. Tuesday sometime during the night someone stole his 2006 Jeep Commander from his driveway. It was last seen there at about 10:30 p.m. Monday, with the doors locked and the keys in the house.
An intoxicated woman was reported by someone driving by on U.S. Route 30 near County Home Road at 6:18 a.m. Friday. Deputies found Lisa Dahmen walking to Hanoverton with bare feet and a purse full of beer and covered with jaggers. Deputies took Dahmen home to Lisbon and warned her if she was out in this condition again she would be taken to jail.
Carrie Andrews, state Route 170, East Palestine, reported at 4:44 a.m. Sunday someone was pounding on a neighbor’s door. A neighbor told dispatchers Angela Andrews was pounding on the door and then left. When deputies arrived, no one would open the door to talk to them.
Joy Dickson, no address listed, reported a suspicious man with a knife walking in the area of Crews Road and state Route 45 at 6:50 a.m. Friday. Deputies found Thomas Sellars, who said he was carrying a saw with him because there are some pitbull-type dogs which often attack him when he walks down the road.
Deputies recovered several items from Dana Duffield, Center Avenue, Lisbon, at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, some of which were found to have been reported stolen. Gary Landis identified the laptop and camera as his. He also believed an Xbox recovered, which belonged to his son and was stolen the same day, may have also been the same one.
David Wright, Jimtown Road, Negley, reported at 12:47 p.m. Sunday Crystal Adams was going to move in with him, but they had differences and now she was going to find somewhere else to live. Wright said she took his car without permission, but he did not want charges filed.

Virginia Mills, Buffalo Road, Hanoverton, reported while she was intoxicated at 1:43 a.m. Monday her boyfriend allegedly had a revolver and threatened to kill her if she left the residence. She told deputies she picked up the revolver from the table, left and went to Steven Paul’s home. Mills also reported someone cut both tires on the passenger side of her pickup. She was asked to give a statement when she sobers up. Deputies confiscated the revolver, which was not loaded. They also spoke to her boyfriend, Nathan Carnes, who was also intoxicated and denied owning the gun. Another man at the home told deputies Mills was in one of her moods and left. He did not see any threats or weapons. While at the home, deputies found a marijuana grinder, a pipe and some pills on the table, which Carnes said belonged to Mills. These were also confiscated and destroyed.
Yvonne Parsons, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, reported domestic violence at 6:53 a.m. Sept. 29. She was extremely distraught and claiming she caught her live-in boyfriend in bed with her best friend. She claimed her boyfriend pushed her away and told her friend to flee. She told deputies they ran through the woods, got into his vehicle and took some of Parsons’ belongings such as a camera, iPad and some home videos of Parsons and her boyfriend engaged in sexual activities. Deputies spoke to the boyfriend, Shaun Clark, on the phone, who claimed he had not touched her and she was off her medication. The matter was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

Marty Barker, Lusk Lock Road, Lisbon, reported at 1:09 p.m. Saturday sometime within the past week someone entered his property and stole a large Guardian generator valued at about $4,000. Barker told deputies it would take at least four people to load the generator. The property was auctioned during the week, but the sale is not yet final.

Blanche Lentini, Clarkson Road, Rogers, reported at 4:24 p.m. Friday sometime overnight someone knocked over her mailbox and two ceramic frogs.
Timothy Styen, Beard Road, East Palestine, reported at 5:54 p.m. Saturday he heard his dogs barking and went out to see a white Buick LaSabre in his driveway. When the driver saw him, they pulled back out and left.
Carl Black, state Route 14, East Palestine, reported at 7:58 p.m. Thursday he owns a trailer and George Faulkner Sr. let his son move in, but Black does not want him there. Deputies told Black they cannot tell Faulkner to leave if he was invited there.
Crystal Hall, Lair Road, Alliance, reported at 2:13 p.m. Friday her 5-year-daughter does not want to go to her father’s house when he has visitation, because of problems with her father’s girlfriend.
Rebecca Fleming, U.S. Route 62, Damascus, reported at 1:36 p.m. Saturday she was giving away kittens at her home. Three men came dressed in motorcycle-style clothes and smelling of alcohol and cigarettes. One picked up a kitten by the back of the neck and pulled its tail. She asked the men to leave, but wanted a report on file in case they returned.
Thomas Burkett, Latta Road, East Palestine, reported at 2:28 p.m. Wednesday Brent Rhodes violated a protection order he has against him. Burkett told deputies he had personal property on Rhodes’ property, two transmissions, a motor undercarriage and transmission all in one piece, four doors with power windows, two fenders and one hood. However, Rhodes reportedly removed all his items and scrapped them. Burkett claims Rhodes had broken into a camper and was living there. Burkett further said Rhodes has been calling his landlord and bad mouthing him to the landlord trying to get Burkett evicted. He wanted a report on file because Rhodes was due to be in court Thursday.

Bill Swearingen, Brandon Drive, Wellsville, reported at 3:06 p.m. Friday he received messages on his voice mail from a man in a Middle Eastern accent claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service and that charges were being pressed against him. Swearingen knew it was a scam.

A deputy advised that his mother would need to file a report.
Linne Foreman, state Route 154, Lisbon, reported at 5:32 p.m. Friday that Donald Moler was driving a 1997 Ford van at the Rogers Sale and backed into Foreman’s 2008 Jeep, causing a small dent in the passenger side front quarter panel.
Shannon Harman, state Route 154, Lisbon, reported at 5:42 p.m. Friday someone cut a bird feeder out of her tree and stole a trail camera.
Seth McMillan, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, reported at 11:02 p.m. Monday he and his girlfriend, Jessica Boyd, got into a verbal argument and when he tried to leave she became combative. Boyd claimed they were arguing and when he went to pack up his belongings he pushed her out of the way. Neither wanted to pursue charges. McMillan was given a ride to the Circle K in Lisbon where his father met him.
A man reported at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday while he was enroute to Glen’s Archery, he noticed he was two vehicles behind Christina Cousins, who has a protection order against him. He changed his course of travel numerous times to avoid her.
Robert Mahon, 63, Rauch Road, East Palestine, was found dead, slumped over the kitchen sink at 12:52 p.m. Monday. A neighbor, Jay Sutton, said he went there to pick up Mahon to take him to the store, the bank and to get new shoes, but when he arrived, Mahon was not in the driveway waiting for him. He went inside and found him. East Palestine EMS transported Mahon after a coroner’s office investigator checked the scene.
Kaleb Simpson, state Route 7, New Waterford, reported he was assaulted by his uncle. Simpson told deputies he was doing doughnuts in his yard with his vehicle and then pulled his vehicle back into his driveway. At that point, his uncle Bryan McCall pulled him out of the vehicle, punched him in the eye, threw him to the ground and choked him. Simpson’s mother pulled her brother off him. McCall was charged with domestic violence.
Robert Weber, Spring Valley Road, Salineville, reported at 7:42 a.m. Wednesday someone entered the home he owns on Main Street, Hanoverton. A lawnmower which had belonged to his previous tenant was taken from the side yard. Additionally, other items were taken from inside the house. Steel cap for steel roofing from the garage on the property was also taken.

Lori Buck, White Road, Lisbon, reported at 7:12 p.m. Tuesday sometime last week someone entered her garage and stole a stainless steel Jeep bumper, which was valued at $500.
Haley Foster, Old Lincoln Highway, East Liverpool, reported at 10:06 p.m. Sunday her vehicle ran out of gas on state Route 7 north of Save A Lot in Rogers. While she was getting gas someone vandalized her vehicle. It appeared as if someone kicked all four of her doors.
Tammy Renfro, a dispatcher with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, reported at 10:01 p.m. Monday a trooper had stopped a person walking along state Route 558 near Grafton Road, who was carrying a hatchet. The deputies responded, but left without incident.
Jeff Smith, White Road, Lisbon, reported at 10:42 p.m. Monday sometime on Sunday an unattached tool shed on his property was broken into with about $2,000 in tools taken.

Louis Tuttle, Monroeville Heights, Salineville, reported at 10:24 a.m. Monday his friend took out a loan in his name on Feb. 8 for $650 through Online Loan Advance. He does not remember giving her permission to take out a loan in his name. He is now receiving calls from attorneys about pursuing charges against him due to the loan remaining unpaid.
A fight was reported by Dana Duffield at Pondi’s at 2:07 a.m. Saturday. Two bartenders, Courtney Shiver and Leeanne Stear, told deputies a man named Travis began to mess with the draft system for the bar. Bystanders told him he should not do that and he became irate and confrontational with them. Travis then kicked the front glass door, shattering it. He left in a big black pickup with Texas plates, according to witnesses.
Robert Ray, Newton Falls, reported at 12:05 p.m. Friday someone took a .38-caliber Hi-Point semi automatic pistol from the table at his stand at Rogers Sale. The gun had a magazine in it and was in a holster. It was in a wooden box along with six other magazines and some ammunition. Everything was still in the box except the gun and holster.
Dana Duffield, Center Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 2:48 p.m. Thursday her live-in, Floyd Gilmore, locked her inside the trailer. He had left before deputies arrived and she was speaking through an open kitchen window. Deputies offered to stay so she could get some belongings and leave, but she declined the offer.
