Main Street closure still a source of frustration for Wellsville residents

WELLSVILLE — The continued closure of Main Street in downtown Wellsville five months after the collapse of the Five and 10 building located at 447-449 Main is leaving residents and local business owners frustrated. The 400 block of Main Street was closed by order of Fire Chief Barry Podwel after the collapse for safety reasons, with concerns that the remaining portion of the building could fall. Judge tosses brothers’ challenge to Newell VFD ouster

NEW CUMBERLAND – A judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by two longtime members of the Newell Volunteer Fire Department who claimed they were wrongfully ousted from the organization and locked out of its property. In a final order entered August 3, Hancock Circuit Judge Joseph E. Lisbon man pronounced dead after motorcycle and car crash

LISBON (WKBN) — A Lisbon man has died after a vehicle and motorcycle crashed in Madison Township Sunday. According to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lisbon Post, Glenn R. Kennedy, 61, of Lisbon, was pronounced dead on the scene after being hit by a vehicle turning left on State Route 45. The report states Kennedy was traveling southbound on State Route 45 on his motorcycle when he was struck by a Nissan Altima attempting a turn onto Osbourne Road.
