EAST LIVERPOOL – During the personnel section of the East Liverpool Board of Education meeting June 25, board members approved multiple resignations and hirings. East Palestine settlement payments to be sent out

EAST PALESTINE (WKBN) — For those impacted by the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, settlement checks for property claims are supposed to be in the mail. This is part of the $600 million settlement agreement by the railroad to resolve class action lawsuits. Anyone living or owning property within 20 miles of the derailment site was eligible to file a claim. Epiq is handling the payments. WELLSVILLE – During the finance portion of Monday’s Wellsville school board meeting, board members voted in favor of a motion to approve the final permanent appropriations for fiscal year 2026 and gave the approval to amend the final certificate of resources for fiscal year 2026.
