LISBON -- A Rogers man entered a not guilty plea Monday to vehicular manslaughter in the 2025 death of 79-year-old Rebecca A. Myers of Lisbon in a crash.
Donald K. Hollingshead, 31, Adams Road, appeared for arraignment in Columbiana County Municipal Court for the misdemeanor charge, indicating to the court that he'll be representing himself. He's out of jail on a $5,000 recognizance bond.
A pretrial was set for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 9.
According to the complaint filed recently by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, he operated a motor vehicle on a highway without being in reasonable control of the vehicle, causing the death of another.
In this case, the affidavit said the crash occurred at 2:52 p.m. Sept. 20, 2025 when Hollingshead was towing a trailer with construction equipment eastbound on state Route 558. His vehicle allegedly traveled left of center and the trailer rolled, causing the construction equipment to shift. The equipment then struck a Jeep traveling in the opposite direction, causing Myers' death. Myers was traveling in the Jeep.
The charge carries a possible penalty of up to 90 days in jail and a license suspension ranging from six months to three years.
