LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP -- Trustee Dennis Giambroni Tuesday reminded residents who live in zoned areas have until Oct. 15 to move boats, trailers, campers and similar vehicles from their driveways to storage.
Parking of these type of vehicles in residents' driveways is only from April 15 through Oct. 15 in the zoned area of the township.
Police Chief Jarod Kinemond said that Trick or Treat for this year will take place on Halloween, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Road Supervisor Chris Bosworth reported the department's #1 truck will be taken in for a check engine light diagnostic. The diagnostic should be completed at no charge to the township since it is still under factory warranty.
Bosworth also noted that the sign at the intersection of Dewey and Clark had been run over, and the township does not have any replacement signs. The trustees approved Bosworth to purchase the two replacement signs at $48 a piece and put them up.
Bosworth asked the trustees about a discussion held a year ago about purchasing a gear box and auger for the sprayer box for the 2016 truck for plow season. He noted that last year the price was $1,625, but he doesn't know yet what the current price would be.
Giambroni noted that the purchase would need to be made for winter and motioned to approve Bosworth making the purchase even if there is a price increase due to the necessity of the parts. Trustees Mike Bahen and Keith Burke seconded the motion, letting it pass with an all-in-favor vote.
Fiscal Officer Shirley Flati said she completed the second portion of the Aug. 2026 bank reconciliation and noted that the reason for the two reconciliations is due to Farmers Bank providing two bank statements for August due to a new system change.
Bahen said Liverpool Township was going to submit applications for the Ohio Communications Grant Program to have the monthly fees of the department's MARCs radios covered and get three mobile units to place in both fire station and the police stations for emergencies if approved for the grant.
The trustees adopted three resolutions to supplement appropriations with all-in-favor votes -- for the Fire District Fund in the amount of $4,000 for the Repairs and Maintenance line item, the General Fund in the amount of $2,000 for the Contracted Services line item and for the Cemetery Fund in the amount of $2,000 for the Property Services line item.
Bills totaling $67,434.10 were approved for payment.
The Liverpool Township Board of Trustees meets every other Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the administration building. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 13.
