EAST LIVERPOOL -- One person is dead and three others injured following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 30 in Liverpool Township Wednesday morning.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Lisbon post is investigating the crash that left a passenger, Joyce M. Snider, 63. East Liverpool, dead.
According to the patrol, a 2007 Buick Rainier driven by Stacy L. Click, 42, East Liverpool, was stopped westbound partially on the left shoulder and partially in the left travel lane at approximately 11:09 a.m. and was struck from behind by a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD driven by Neil A. Gilbert, 23, Martins Ferry.
Snider was pronounced dead on the scene. Click obtained serious injuries and was transported by STAT MedEvac to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. A child in the Buick was transported by STAT MedEvac to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Gilbert obtained minor injuries.
Both lanes of U.S. Route 30 have been reopened.
Assisting at the scene was Liverpool Township Police Department, St. Clair Township Police Department, East Liverpool Police Department, East Liverpool City Fire/EMS, Liverpool Township Fire, Glenmoor Fire, Calcutta Fire, Negley Fire, Lifeteam EMS, Northstar Critical Care, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Columbiana County Coroner's Office.
