Lawsuit, counterclaim between Diamondback and East Liverpool dismissed

LISBON -- A lawsuit filed by Diamondback Dumpsters against the city of East Liverpool and a counterclaim filed against the refuse company by the city have been dismissed.

According to a Columbiana County Common Pleas Court entry filed recently, attorneys indicated as of May 15 that a resolution of the case had been reached, but had not filed an agreed entry of judgment or dismissal as was requested.

As a result, Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam dismissed the case.

Diamondback filed the lawsuit in 2025 over the purchase of a truck, roll-off boxes and hauling services, with the city then filing a counterclaim for breach of contract.

No details about the settlement were filed with the court.
