EAST LIVERPOOL -- Dr. Marc D. Hoffrichter was honored Wednesday with the dedication of the restored historic city clock at the corner of Sixth and Broadway streets, recognizing decades of civic leadership and service to the community.
City officials, members of the East Liverpool Beautification Society, community leaders and residents gathered for the ceremony celebrating both the restoration of one of the city’s best-known landmarks and Hoffrichter’s contributions to East Liverpool.
Mayor Bob Smith, Safety-Service Director Bill Jones and representatives of the Beautification Society joined Hoffrichter and his family for the event.
Speakers highlighted Hoffrichter’s leadership of Task Force Fawcett and his involvement in numerous community improvement projects, crediting him with helping inspire efforts to preserve and revitalize East Liverpool.
“Today is about recognizing a man whose leadership has left a lasting mark on East Liverpool,” organizers said during the ceremony. “His dedication and tireless efforts toward the betterment of our community continue to inspire others to serve with the same passion and commitment.”
A reception hosted by the East Liverpool Beautification Society followed the dedication.
Hoffrichter’s wife, Cindy, thanked those who organized the event.
“Thank you all for this wonderful tribute to Marc,” she said. “He was so pleased and thankful to see everyone who came.
