EAST LIVERPOOL -- The Columbiana County Drug Task Force (DTF) assisted by East Liverpool police officers recovered trafficking amounts of suspected cocaine Wednesday.

Officers also recovered a digital scale and packaging material consistent with trafficking during the warrant execution at 122 Ravine St., East Liverpool.

The male who DTF agents established to be the resident at the property did not appear to be in the residence at the time of the search which resulted in agents using a forced entry.

After agents cleared the house and found no one inside, a K-9 was brought in to assist in the search and alerted agents to the presence of the suspected drugs.

The suspected drugs were sent to The Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) for testing and charges are pending outcome of test results.
