LEPPER LIBRARY HOSTS GARDEN EXPERTS
LISBON -- The Ohio State University Extension will present “Ask a Master Gardener” sessions at the Lepper Library. The sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, July 21 and noon to 3 p.m. on Aug. 18. For more information, contact the Columbiana County OSU Extension Office at 330-967-7249.
BEAVER CLASS OF ’76 REUNION PLANNED
CALCUTTA -- The Beaver Local Class of 1976 50th class reunion will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 22 at the East Liverpool Elks. Cost is $35 per person. Meal will be catered and there will be a DJ. Send checks to Kathy Knepper, 14421 Old Fredericktown Rd., East Liverpool, OH 43920 or Venmo @Kathy-knepper-1 or Cash App $Kathyknep. The meal will be chicken cordon bleu, stuffed shells, roasted rosemary red skin potatoes, vegetable blend, fresh fruit salad, rolls, salad, dessert, water and ice tea. There will be an open bar as well.
VETERANS PICNIC PLANNED
CALCUTTA -- A veterans appreciation picnic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Calcutta Square. All veterans and active military are invited to bring along one guest. A free lunch, ice cream, live music and giveaways will be included. Opening ceremony will be at 9:45 a.m. on the sidewalk in front of the escape room.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST ON SUNDAY
CALCUTTA -- The Friends of Beaver Creek State Park will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the barn in pioneer village. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children under 6.
