EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool High School junior Jimmy Conrad has successfully completed his Eagle Scout project at the Columbiana County Humane Society, making a meaningful impact on the organization and the animals in its care.
As part of his project, Conrad designed and helped construct an outdoor “Cataminium,” a secure and enriching space that allows cats at the shelter to safely enjoy fresh air and room to play. The addition enhances the quality of life for the shelter’s feline residents while also creating a more engaging environment for visitors.
In addition to the construction project, Conrad organized a donation effort to support the shelter’s ongoing needs. Fellow Scouts worked alongside him to spread fresh mulch and clear fall leaves, improving the overall appearance and creating a more welcoming atmosphere.
Throughout the process, Conrad demonstrated strong leadership, perseverance and adaptability, overcoming obstacles and adjusting plans to ensure the project’s success hallmarks of the dedication required to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
The project was made possible through the support of community members, volunteers, and the leaders and Scouts of Troop 2012.
