Brightside Project to host car show in Salem
SALEM — The Brightside Project will host its second annual Arby Reunion Cruise & Car Show Saturday, May 30, at The Brightside Project, 1909 N. Ellsworth Ave.
This family-friendly community event will bring together car enthusiasts, families and supporters from across the region for a full day of classic cars, cruising, music, food, and fun, all while raising funds to support local children through The Brightside Project’s programs and services.
The event celebrates the spirit and memories of the former Arby’s Cruise gatherings while creating a new tradition centered on community and giving back. Organizers are inviting all makes and models to participate with the motto: “If it has wheels, bring it!
Car show registration begins at 9 a.m. with a $5 registration fee, and the first 100 participants will receive a commemorative dash plaque. Trophy presentations will begin after 2 p.m., with cruising continuing throughout the day until 5 p.m.
Attendees can also enjoy:
¯ A Pancake & Sausage Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a $5 donation
¯ Music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s
¯ A 50/50 raffle
¯ Chinese auction
¯ Door prizes
¯ Additional food and drinks available after 1 p.m.
All proceeds from the event will benefit The Brightside Project, a Salem-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving children in Columbiana and rural Mahoning counties. The organization’s mission is to remove barriers that prevent children from having a safe and healthy childhood while building developmental assets that help them thrive.
