Trustees approve 2026 line striping program
CALCUTTA — St. Clair Township trustees Monday approved the township’s line striping program.
Trustees unanimously approved the program after discussion to make sure the funds are available.
The cost is $899 per line mile for a total of $34,876 to be paid from the permissive mobile license fund. Roads include Bell School, Echo Dell and Irish Ridge, as well as the school zone and the crosswalk at Bell School Road.
Trustees also granted permission for PeakIT to prepare the cybersecurity program which is required by the State of Ohio to be completed by June 30 at a one-time cost of $4,587 plus the software charge of $2,350, an increase from last year’s rate of $1,670.
Also at the meeting, Road Foreman Dave Smith requested and was granted approval to sell obsolete equipment such as a computer and copier without needing a public notice since the estimated value is well below the $2,500 price for which a public sale would be required.
Police Chief Brian McKenzie did not have a report and instead recognized Beaver Local Schools bus driver Kasie Stevenson and Detective Sgt. Scott Mick for their above and beyond actions during a March 26 accident involving a school bus and a car.
Purchase orders totaling $62,178.52 and bills totaling $214,988.58 were approved for payment.
The St. Clair Township Board of Trustees meets every other Monday at 4 p.m. at the St. Clair Township Government Building, 15442 Pugh Road, Calcutta. The next regular meeting is scheduled for May 4.
