Liverpool Twp. trustees approve police cruiser financing in special meeting

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP — Liverpool Township trustees were unanimous in their decision to adopt the resolution approving financing for the purchase of a new police cruiser during a special meeting Monday.

The resolution provides for “the issuance and sale of $65,000 aggregate principal amount of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of acquiring, equipping and otherwise improving a police cruiser and related appurtenances and improvements.”

Police Chief Jared Kinemond said the car, which will replace an officer’s older car, is ready to be picked up at Tri-State Ford once the financing is complete.

The Liverpool Township Board of Trustees meets every other Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Township Administration Building, 2485 Boring Lane. The next regular meeting is scheduled for March 31.

Starting at $2.99/week.
