EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool community is invited to “cut loose” this weekend as East Liverpool High School Thespian Troupe 319 presents Footloose! The Musical from March 27 to 29 in the high school auditorium.

Performances will be held Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28 at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on March 29 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for students, faculty, and senior citizens, and $10 for adults.

The cast features Brody Vulgamore, Jazmine Hughes, Gemma Messenger, Kelsey Stover, Tyler Ruess, Logan Cornell, Michayla Kidder, Alana Cornell, Hadley Dobbins, and more.

Based on the iconic 1980s film, the stage adaptation was written by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, with music by Tom Snow and additional songs by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, and Jim Steinman.

The production follows Ren McCormack, a teenager who moves from Chicago to a small farming town and quickly discovers that dancing is banned. As he navigates life at his new high school, Ren faces strict local expectations enforced by a determined preacher. Along the way, he challenges the town’s rules, builds relationships, and uncovers a deeper story rooted in loss, healing, and understanding.

Set to a high-energy, Top 40 score with dynamic choreography, Footloose celebrates the importance of listening to young people while guiding them with compassion and open-mindedness.

Starting at $2.99/week.
