Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about abandoned puppies
Hancock County investigators are looking for information about the identity of the suspect who abandoned seven puppies in single-digit temperatures sometime before early Tuesday when they were discovered near Smith and Middle Run roads near Chester. (Submitted photo)
NEW CUMBERLAND — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an animal cruelty case.
According to a office press release, Tuesday morning deputies responded to a call regarding abandoned puppies on Smith Road. After, taking three to a safe place, a resident of Middle Run Road reported finding four more puppies on the side of the road.
The puppies were taken by the caller who wanted the dog warden to come and get them all.
Seven puppies are currently safe and warm.
