Firefighters put out East End structure fire
EAST LIVERPOOL — After a third alarm call for assistance from Liverpool Township firefighters, city assistant fire chief Aaron Jones said city firefighters were able to successfully squash a structure fire on the East End Tuesday night.
Dispatch received a report of the blaze at 1601 Park Ave. at 5:30 p.m. and once initial responders arrived on scene, they asked for the second alarm, calling for additional in-agency backup to help with manpower.
Upon issuing the third and final alarm, Liverpool Township responded with two engines and more personnel.
Columbiana County online property records list Joshua Francis as the current property owner, with his taxpayer address being listed as a West Virginia post office box.
Jones said the unidentified occupant was not home at the time of the blaze and is thought to be staying with relatives.
The amount of loss is unclear. Jones said the cause is still undetermined.
