Rabies vaccination clinic
Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host a rabies vaccination clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. Rabies vaccinations are required for all dogs, cats and ferrets over three months of age. Cost is $8 per shot, cash only; no appointment necessary. Bring proof of prior vaccination on or after Dec. 14, 2024 to receive the three-year booster; without proof of prior vaccination, the pet will receive a one-year vaccination only. The clinic does not include a physical examination of the pet.
Light Up Angels Dec. 19
Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host Light Up Angels with Memories Luminary Lights at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Make a $20 donation in memory of a loved one or furry friend for a luminary at Angels for Animals or www.angelsforanimals.org, or on the organization’s Facebook page, to place a donation. Refreshments will be available for a donation in Andrews Hall. Proceeds will be used to care to the animals.
Tops 1341
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Dec. 1, with Mary Gailey, leader, presiding. Marlene Reynolds was the best loser and Lydia Kraft was runner up. They chose bread and all chips as the junk foods for the coming week.
The drawing winners were: weight loss and 50/50, Reynolds; food chart and junk food, Dorothy Garn; and jackpot, Lydia Kraft.
Cathy Wollam held the travel box for the first week. Darla Varney was 96 weeks in the attendance book and Kraft won the check contest.
The November monthly winners were: Best loser, Patty Gruszecki; runner up, Cheryl Myers; food chart, Gailey; and exercise, Kraft. Cassie Ensinger will present the program at the next meeting.
The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and The Lord’s Prayer.
