Township fire trucks repaired

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP– Fire Chief Jacob Russell told the Trustees during Monday’s Liverpool Township Board of Trustees meeting that Engines 21 and 22 have been serviced by Atlantic Emergency Services and are both back in service.

Atlantic Emergency Services sent the service bill to Pierce Trucking to see if the work is covered under warranty.

The Fire Department received a grant from OTARMA which will be used to purchase five stream lights and replace a pair of boots damaged during a brush fire.

A representative from Phoenix Equipment came to the station and demonstrated new fire gear which they are hoping to purchase in the future to replace existing gear.

Russell also said he wants to start a junior fireman program but the township has to look into some things to see if it possible to do it with the children at the fire station

Police Chief Jarod Kinemond did not have anything to report but did request an executive session for personnel reasons and sale or purchase of property. There was no action taken following the executive session.

Road Supervisor Chris Bosworth was not present at the meeting but emailed a copy of his report to Fiscal Officer Shirley Flati. According to his report the new trucks for the department are coming along, all trucks are ready for winter and the department’s new hire is working out well.

Flati said she is performing day-to-day duties and has completed the October bank reconciliation and the 2026 Permanent Appropriations.

Trustees voted to accept the 2026 Permanent Appropriations.

Bills totaling $34,086.93 were approved for payment.

The Liverpool Township Board of Trustees meet every other Tuesday at 3 p.m., at the Township Administration Building. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Nov. 25.
