Health screenings planned

The Columbiana County Health District will once again offer Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) screenings through a special clinic. The event will take place by appointment only on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the health district office, located at 7360 state Route 45, Lisbon. Screenings are free for residents of the General Health District. A $25 cash fee applies to participants living outside the General Health District (including Salem and East Liverpool cities) or outside Columbiana County. The American Cancer Society recommends annual PSA screenings for men age 50 and older; African-American men starting at age 45, due to a higher risk of prostate cancer; and men with a family history of prostate cancer, also beginning at age 45. Baked steak dinner on tap

Yellow Creek Church in Wellsville will host a baked steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12. The meal includes baked steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw, green beans and dessert. Cost is $9 adults, $4.50 children. Dine in or carry out; 330-532-2000.

Meeting date changed

The Liverpool Township trustees have changed their meeting to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at the administration building on Boring Lane due to the holiday Nov. 11.
