BWD Board of Trustees approves reassignments for two employees
WELLSVILLE — The Buckeye Water District (BWD) Board of Trustees approved requests for the reassignment of two employees during Thursday’s board meeting.
Jason Bahen, currently a distribution foreman, requested to be reassigned to distribution crew leader.
Greg Beatty, currently the distribution crew leader, requested to assume the position of distribution foreman.
The reassignment requests went through the board’s Personnel Committee which recommended the reassignments be made.
Bahen and Beatty’s requests were approved and made effective Oct. 5.
District Manager Al DeAngelis told the board that the Spring Hill tank is back in service, the BWD received wetland approval from Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) for dredging projects, the BWD received correspondence from Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) confirming BWD can use the bridge across Little Beaver Creek for waterline installation to Beaver Creek State Park.
DeAngelis also said that BWD received comments from OEPA concerning the septic system for the new BWD Administration Building and they have been advised by OEPA to have the Columbiana County Health Department be the lead agency in permitting the septic system. He noted Dallis Dawson and Associates have been in contact with the county health department regarding this.
DeAngelis said the Ohio State Auditor is still conducting the BWD’s 2024 audit, and the distribution crew repaired five leaks and one tap.
The board accepted the district manager’s report, the treasurer’s report and the operation report as presented to them.
The Buckeye Water District Board of Trustees meets the third Thursday of each month at 9 a.m. in council chambers at Wellsville Village Hall, 1200 Main St., Wellsville. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Nov. 20.
