UNITY TWP. (WKBN) — A Lisbon woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash with a semi-truck hauling an excavator.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on SR 558 near milepost 11 at 2:52 p.m.

The victim, identified as 79-year-old Rebecca Myers, was traveling in a Jeep that was struck by a semi-truck hauling an excavator after the semi-truck went left of center and then overturned, according to the Highway Patrol.

The Jeep then went off the road and hit a guardrail. Myers died at the scene.

The road was closed in the area at the time of the crash. The Highway Patrol is investigating.
