LISBON — Members of the Columbiana Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCBDD) approved a number of items during their Sept. 10 board meeting, such as payment of membership fees and job description changes.

The board members approved payment in the amount of $6,950 for annual membership contribution for FY 2026 to Family and Children First Council; a $100 a week stipend for SSA-team leader; $3,510 annual cost for the purchase Parent Square, a communication software between staff and parents and $28,000 to pay annual Ohio Association of County Boards membership fee.

They also approved the elimination of the building management/transportation supervisor BA Degree from the job description and wage index since it has never been used; the elimination of assistant principal and confidential secretary school; the creation of a new job description for Service and Support Administration-team leader; a new index for Transition SSA; and the designation of the superintendent Bill Devon as OACB delegate at the annual convention to be held in Columbus, Ohio on Nov. 19.

Also approved were Level One Waivers for three clients and an individual options waiter as recommended by the Ethics Board.

Payment of bills and the treasurer’s report were approved as presented.

There was no new or old business to discuss.

Announcements made during the meeting include the dates for the Second Annual Abilities Unite Legacy Gala to be held Oct. 17 at 6:30 at Waypoint 4180 located at 4180 Westford Place, Canfield, Ohio and the Halloween Dance Oct. 30 at the Robert Bycroft School.

Also announced was everything has been going well since school started on Aug. 20 and the Annual Strategic Plan is starting to be developed and will be presented to the board later this year.

The CCBDD meets the third Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. at the administration offices located at 7675 state Route 45, Lisbon. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 15.
