Tops 1341
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church Aug. 11. Becky Andrews was the best loser and Cindy Hays was runner up.
Drawing winners were: Pat Allison, 50/50; Mary Gailey, calorie chart; Darlene Naukem, weight loss; Cheryl Myers, junk food.
Andrews and Hays were three times in the best losers book. Hays now holds the travel box.
Garn was the winner of the watermelon contest.
Marlene Reynolds presented a program on “Muscle Loss and Staying Strong with Exercise.”
Tops 1341 met on Aug. 18, with Gaily, leader, presiding. The best weight loss was Gailey and the runner up was Cassie Ensinger. They chose brownies and cookies as junk foods for the upcoming week.
The drawing winners were: 50/50, Darla Varney; calorie chart and junk food, Garn; weight loss, Cathy Wollam. Three times in the best losers book were Gailey and Ensinger. Myers now holds the travel box. Garn came back from vacation with a loss. Two members remain on the check.
Wollam presented a program on the benefits of consuming nuts daily. Garn discussed the new contest “Don’t Feed The Sharks,” which will begin on Sept. 8 and continue for three months.
The meetings open with pledges and end with concerns and The Lord’s Prayer.

WLC Club
The WLC Club met on Aug. 5 at the Living Well Church with leader Mary Jarvis opening the meeting with prayer by Mary Schmidt and then roll call was taken.
The biggest loser was Jarvis and she also wore the officer’s ribbon.
The challenge was won by Donna Lee. Linda Seevers won the 50/50 raffle. The nono for the week is all sweets.
The picnic will be held next week and the group agreed to give our host a $50 gift card to Walmart.
Donna Lee gave the treasurer’s report and Brenda Young read the minutes. Both were approved as read.
Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.
The annual picnic was held at the home Sally Workman on Aug. 12 where members swam and enjoyed fellowship time. The best loser was Betty Pease. The group gave a big Thank You to Workman for hosting the picnic again this year.
