Electrical lines work

Chester police announced that Mon Power, as part of their work in the area of Route 30 and Taylor Road, will be crossing over Route 30 with electrical lines from approximately 8 a.m. to noon today. In efforts to ensure the safety of their workers, extra patrols will be set up in the areas of the Jennings Randolph Bridge and the former Everyday Church building. The speed limit on Route 30 is 45 mph, and it will be strictly enforced. Be aware of the workers’ presence as they complete the next stage of this project.

ELHS Class of 1980 reunion

The East Liverpool High School Class of 1980 is having its 45th reunion the weekend of Sept. 26. More than 50 classmates have already registered. Events include attending the ELHS Friday night football game, a Saturday dinner at the downtown East Liverpool Elks Club and more. American Legion Auxiliary Unit 188

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 188 in East Liverpool has their first meeting Saturday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. upstairs. Newly elected officers are: President Sue Collins, 1st Vice Alice Bigelow, Secretary Kathy Minton, Treasurer Rose Garlic, Chaplain Marty Davis, Historian Kathy Minton and Sgt at Arms Connie Brown. The organization is busy working on Auxiliary projects such as the community, homeless veterans and members donate to the VA Hospital and support women Veterans.

Choose To Lose Group

Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on August 26 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by CTLG roll call.

Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasure report. Both were approved as read.

Tammy Heddelston was the Pearl’s biggest loser. Dottie Seevers was the Diamonds biggest loser. Penny Perorazio was the officer biggest loser.

Diamonds in leeway are Dottie Seevers, Jean Ferrebee, and JoAnn Beresford.

Three weeks weight loss are Tassy Everett, Dottie Seevers, and Jean Ferrebee.

The no no’s are pop and no sweets.

Margo Arnold won the food journal and Share The Blessing. Carolyn Hager won the dimes.

Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Cassie Stephens, Jean Ferrebee, and Penny Perorazio. New numbers were drawn for the following week # 9.

Tammy Heddelston, Tassy Everett, Margo Arnold, Dottie Seevers, Penny Perorazio, and JoAnn Beresford got to Put A Pig In The Pen.
