Revitalization of the historic J.C. Thompson Building in downtown East Liverpool is progressing. New windows have been installed and repairs are underway on the roof of the turret — a popular feature in Victorian architecture. The $2.2 million project was partially funded by a $600,000 JobsOhio Vibrant Community Grant and a $200,000 Transformational Mixed-Use Development Grant. When completed, the first floor of the building will be used for retail, while the floor will be the new home of the Buckeye Online School for Success and the third floor converted into loft-style apartments occupying the third floor.
