Heid, who is the owner and primary artist at Savage Daughter’s Tattoo and Piercing, will open to the public officially Saturday morning.

Until recently for the past 18 years, she mostly worked as a registered nurse at places like emergency rooms and jails.

After quitting in Lisbon on Aug. 28, she decided to pursue this and open her doors in Chester, where Ron Gray had his tattoo shop, F Bomb.

Gray will now work as a tattoo artist for Savage Daughter.

While Gray will stick mostly to general tattoo work, Heid also will offer body piercing and permanent makeup offerings, like tattoo coverups.

While most places either cover up or use a laser to remove unwanted tattoos, Heid said that she uses a solution for the removal.

“It is less painful and costly,” she acknowledged.

Among her store inventory, shoppers can find metaphysical items like herbs, candles, crystals and some of the occult. She also plans to carry specialized and hard-to-find plants.

She also carries a section of designer-like bags and jewelry for the fashion, but price sensitive shopper.

Heid said she also hopes to offer some DIY-style workshops to customers.

Although Savage Daughter will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for the grand opening, the hours will be fluid for a while as she adjusts availability to customers’ wishes.

Heid said that not only will hours be posted on her store doors at 564 Carolina Ave., but they will also be posted to the shop’s social media on Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok.

During Saturday’s grand opening day of operation, she will be offering a $25 piercing special.
