Chester
— Amanda Ripley, of Newell, was cited for failure to control.
— Ricky Sherbahn, of Chester, was cited for driving without a license.
— Andrew Hager, of East Liverpool, was cited for a seat belt violation.
— Cody Zubay, of Chester, was cited for driving while license suspended (first offense).
— Casey Tokarski, of Imperial, Pa., was cited for a cell phone violation.
— Kelly Hooper, of Chester, was cited for possession of drug abuse instrument.
— Christopher Dixon, of New Cumberland, was cited for Driving While License Suspended.
— Alicia Freeman, of Chester, was cited for hazardous driving.
— Kaleb Farnsworth, of East Liverpool, was cited for Domestic Battery.
Perry Township
–Officers responded to the area of U.S. Route 62 at 2:44 a.m. Sunday to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with an automobile accident involving a power pole. Officers arrived and spoke with Goshen officers who advised they were okay with holding traffic.
–Officers responded to the 1800 block of Garfield Avenue at 2:31 a.m. Sunday for a report of someone possibly inside the caller’s garage. Officers checked the garage not finding anyone inside.
–Officers responded to the 1700 block of Harding Avenue at 12:48 a.m. Sunday for a report of a possible prowler. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anything suspicious.
–Officers responded to the 1600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 12:27 a.m. Sunday for a report of suspicious individuals shining flashlights around the front of a home. Officers found that they had left prior to their arrival, and it appeared that a motorcycle had wrecked in the front lawn. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
–Officers responded to the area of West Perry Street at 10:02 p.m. Saturday for a reported hit and skip. Wanda Kincaide’s, 65, Salem, northbound vehicle on Andrew Avenue was struck by a station wagon travelling eastbound on West Perry Street which stopped briefly before continuing eastbound on West Perry Street towards the city of Salem. Officers collected information and will be investigating the incident.
–Officers responded to the area of Depot Road at 9:43 a.m. Saturday for a reported reckless operator. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
–Officers responded to the 1700 block of Ansley Way at 1:49 a.m. Saturday for a lift assist. Officers were able to enter with the fire department and EMT and the patient refused transport.
–Officers responded to the 1700 block of state Route 9 at 12:57 a.m. Saturday for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers found that the homeowner had the vehicle towed and informed the caller where the vehicle was and of their options.
–Officers responded with the fire department to the Salem Gold Course in the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 5:52 p.m. Friday for a reported accident with injuries. Officers found that two golfers were traversing a hill when they lost control of their golf cart, and it flipped down the hill. Officers assisted medical and fire personnel until no longer needed.
–Officers responded with the fire department and EMT to the 1800 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 9:18 p.m. Thursday for a reported medical call. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
–Officers spoke with a woman by phone at 12:01 p.m. Thursday for a reported theft. The caller advised that she was visiting her mother and brought some of her belongings with her to wash. The caller advised that her mother helped her pack her belongings before taking her back to her residence in Canton, and the caller advised that once she was home, she realized items were missing and believed her mother had kept them. The missing items are birth certificates and pictures.
Salem
–Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 11:28 p.m. Monday for a report of harassment. The caller advised a woman was contacting her over social media despite being asked to stop. Officers spoke with the woman and advised her to cease contact with the caller.
–Officers spoke with a man at the police department at 11:02 p.m. Monday regarding a potential mental health crisis. The man had come into the station to file a report, but the behavior officers observed showed the man to need medical attention. The fire department and EMT responded to assess the man who was then transported to the Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman for further evaluation.
–Officers responded to the area of South Union Avenue Ridgewood Drive at 9:26 p.m. Monday for a reported dirt bike in the roadway. Officers spoke with the person riding the bike and advised them to keep it off the roadway and that it will be towed if caught on the roadway again.
–Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 8:50 p.m. Monday for a report of a possible assault. The caller, who was at the residence to help a friend move out advised that she is pregnant and was punched in the stomach by the person in question. Officers spoke with the person who offered a slightly different story and denied touching the caller. No visible injuries were observed, and the caller refused medical attention, and did not want to pursue the matter legally.
–Officers responded to the 500 block of Washington Avenue at 8:39 p.m. Monday for a report of a possible drug overdose. When officers arrived, the man had already left the area on foot but was located a short distance away. Officers and first responders checked on the man and he advised he was fine.
–Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 8:30 p.m. Monday for a reported dispute between two sisters. One of the sisters was moving out of the residence of the other and the two began to have words. While officers were on scene both sisters began to argue over property and were given disorderly conduct warnings and advised to remain civil with each other while the one sister finished gathering her belongings.
–Officers responded to the 100 block of West Fourth Street at 8 p.m. Monday to speak with a woman regarding a suspicious person. The woman advised that she was jogging on Pennsylvania Avenue when she was approached by a man on a bicycle that reportedly made comments and followed her. Officers checked the area and surrounding streets, but the man was not located.
–Officers responded to the 1100 block of Cleveland Street at 7:16 p.m. Monday for a noise complaint. Officers spoke with the person in question, advising them of the complaint, and the music was turned down without incident.
–Officers responded to the 900 block of Franklin Avenue at 5:52 p.m. Monday for a report of harassment between a landlord and tenant. The tenant reported that the landlord, who lives in adjacent home was staring at them and it is a re-occurring problem, and that they would be moving out in a couple of days. All parties involved were advised to keep the peace and stay away from each other until the tenant is fully moved out.
–Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 4:36 p.m. Monday for a reported hit and skip. The caller advised that their vehicle was parked legally in a parking spot and was struck by another vehicle. Photographs were obtained and a report was made.
–Officers on patrol were flagged down by a woman in the 2000 block of Monroe Street at 3:48 p.m. Monday for a harassment report. The caller advised that a man who lives in the same apartment complex has been stalking her for weeks and harasses her. She advised that she has told him many times to leave her alone and he won’t. Officers spoke with the man and advised him not to contact the caller anymore or he could get charged. He advised he would never talk to her again.
–Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fifth Street at 3:35 p.m. Monday for a reported theft. The caller advised that an unknown person was taking solar lights from their yard. Officers advised that a police report would be made.
–Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 2:55 p.m. Monday who advised that she received two Ohio ID cards in the mail for two men with the same address as the woman. The caller advised that they reported it to the BMV in town, and they said they would look into it.
–The school resource officers were advised of a threatening Snapchat message regarding an incident that would allegedly occur at the school at 10:56 a.m. Monday. During the investigation it was found to be another school district where the local police department was already investigating the incident.
–Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 10:17 a.m. Monday who advised that his vehicle was broken into while parked int he 1900 block of Fairview Court and advised his medication and other items were taken.
