LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP -- The township administration has organized a clean-up and tire disposal day for Liverpool Township residents.
Township residents only may bring up to 10 tires and unwanted household items to the administration building May 11 from 8 a.m. to noon.
No tires will be accepted from any business.
No computers, electronics, microwaves, appliances, paint or chemicals will be accepted.
The Litter Program will resume to help clean up the township streets beginning May 13.
During Tuesday's Liverpool Township Board of Trustee's meeting three resolutions to supplement appropriations were approved -- one for the American Rescue Plan Act Fund Line-Item Other in the amount of $7,000, one for the Fire District Fund Line-Item Property, insurance premium in the amount of $4,142.31 and one for the General Fund Line-Item Auditing Services in the amount of $2,300.
Payment of warrants and EFTs totaling $51,491.95 was also approved.
In his report, Police Chief Jared Kinemond told the trustees that the Lexipol program for updates and training they approved at the previous meeting was set up and he would be doing an orientation to get it implemented.
The chief also noted that he is still looking to hire as the department is down two officers.
Road Supervisor Christ Bosworth told the trustees that the roads had been swept in preparation for the chip and seal and requested approval, which was given, to purchase the hot patch material, #8 limestone to replace what was used over the winter for salting the roads and a polyester paint for line striping roads.
The Liverpool Township Board of Trustees meets every other Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the township administration building. The next regular meeting is scheduled for May 14.
