The planting of 499 pinwheels -- the number of investigations out of 2,149 called-in complaints in 2023 -- was held at the Lisbon Square Monday as a reminder of ongoing child abuse within Columbiana County. Wednesday is designated as "Wear Blue Day" to raise awareness of child abuse. All citizens are encouraged to participate. Shown are those who planted the colorful pinwheels.
