The Columbiana County Lincoln Day Dinner is Friday, March 15 at the Timberlanes Banquet facility in Salem. Keynote speaker will be Tom Homan, a FOX News contributor and former Trump Administration Head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Homan has been an outspoken critic of the Biden Administration's "loose and disastrous" immigration policies that have resulted in millions of illegal aliens pouring into America at a rate unprecedented in American history. He regularly appears on Fox News about this subject.
President Donald Trump appointed Homan as acting Director of ICE in May 2017. From Trump's Inauguration Day through just the end of April, under Homan's leadership, some 41,319 illegals had been arrested, a 38 percent increase over the same period the prior year under the Obama Administration.
Homan stated publically that undocumented immigrants "should be afraid" to cross our borders illegally and the "politicians who support sanctuary city policies should be charged with crimes".
In April of 2018, Homan formally advised Secretary of Homeland Security Kierson Nielson to implement the Trump Administration's "zero tolerance" policy on immigration.
Columbiana County Republican Chairman Dave Johnson, host of the Lincoln Day Dinner event, remarked that: "with the border crises ranking as the number one public policy crisis of our time, Tom Homan is the right guy at the right time to come here to this county to spur Republicans to get to the polls ... and to vote for Donald Trump as president ... and our own Michael Rulli as this district's new 6th District U S Congressman."
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost will be a special guest at the Lincoln Day Dinner as will US Senate candidate Bernie Moreno, Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Joe Deeters and Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou.
The cost of the Timberlanes banquet is $100 per person. A private VIP reception will occur prior to the banquet at the home of Linda and Bob Sebo in Salem. Advanced reservations are required - for reservations all 330-223-1511, weekdays 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
