Approximately 55 students from the East Liverpool High School Spanish Club hosted a "Day of the Dead" fundraiser Saturday at the East Liverpool Community and Education Center to raise money for a possible travel abroad educational trip to Costa Rico in 2025. The event featured mini activities from a graveyard dig, pinata smashing, face painting, coloring pages, a taco eating contest, a Chinese auction, cookie decorating, RC car races, music, food and more. Teacher Shoshana Fineman said she was pleased at the number of people in attendance.
