WELLSVILLE - Current mayor Bob Boley will retain his seat as mayor of the Village of Wellsville.
According to the complete but unofficial results, Boley received 415 votes (65.05%). His challenger, John Cataldo, received 223 (34.95%). Of the 1,792 registered voters in the village, 659 of them cast a ballot.
Boley thanked everybody who had trust in him and the job he has done as mayor for the past two years and voted for him.
Boley said he will continue to do what he feels is best for the village with a focus on continuing to move Wellsville forward with continued improvements to Main Street and bringing in new businesses. He said he plans to continue his focus on making the marina a viable place for family recreation and riding the village of more dilapidated houses and eyesores in an effort to clean the village up.
He said he also wants to continue to work with the police and fire departments.
