CHESTER -- Area residents craving a Frosty aren't going to have to leave town to satisfy that urge soon.
Work by Primary Aim LLC began last week in the 600 block of Carolina Avenue, where a new Wendy's Restaurant will be constructed over the next few months.
According to Tim Thompson, the franchisee's chief operating officer, the Zanesville-based business is very excited about the new location.
Thompson owns 76 Wendy's franchises across southern Ohio, northern West Virginia and western Pennsylvania with his brothers Ben and Steve. The family-run Primary Aim LLC has restaurant locations in Calcutta, Salem, Weirton and Steubenville, to name a few.
"Our core value is to give back to the community that gives so much to us, and it is our intent to be part of the Chester community like we are in our other locations," he said, adding that Chester caught their eye because it is a great community with a lot of potential.
On their website, Primary Aim details their philosophy.
"Giving back doesn't simply mean giving money to charities. It also means giving your time or sharing your special skills with others. We are proud to carry on (Wendy's founder) Dave Thomas' legacy," it reads.
Primary Aim LLC plans to employ 40 to 50 people at the new Chester location, which is being constructed at the sites of the former Dr. Jerry Linger dentist's office and Hot Shots restaurant, which have been razed. Thompson expects that 20 to 25 of those jobs will be full time.
"This will be the newest and most modern Wendy's that is offered," he added.
Boxley Contracting Services of Xenia is handling the project for Primary Aim LLC. They specialize in construction and renovations of restaurants, according to their Facebook page.
