WELLSVILLE -- The Wellsville Police Department is cracking down on curfew violations.
According to a press release issued by the village, the department will "diligently enforce Codified Ordinance Section 139.10: Minor Unaccompanied On Public Street." The ordinance states it is unlawful for any child or children under the age of 18 to "congregate, loaf, loiter, be upon or be in a vehicle upon any of the streets, alleys, or highways of the village" after between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. Friday and Saturday, except when accompanied by their parents, guardian or approved adult.
