Cassie and Kenneth Maylone created an oasis in their Kelly Avenue front yard making them the East Liverpool-Calcutta Area Garden Club's July Yard of the Month winners. The Glenmoor couple began with dahlias and a picket fence and continued to add unique garden elements over the past nine years. Annuals and perennials surround a cart created from a bricklayer's tool, stepping stones feature children's and grandchildren's handprints, and solar lights top the fenceposts. Beautiful plantings and decorative elements can also be seen on both sides of the home as well as the back yard and covered deck. East Liverpool-Calcutta Area Garden Club presented the Maylones with a gift certificate recognizing their outstanding yard this month.
