WELLSVILLE -- During the April 18 Wellsville Council meeting, members voted to approve the $8,550 bid from Triple J&K LLC to lease the Wellsville Reservoir for one year. The bid had initially been approved during the bid opening meeting on April 11.

Triple J&K LLC will be required to maintain liability insurance per the lease agreement on the property.

Council members approved the company's use of ATVs on the property for transporting purposes only. They will not be permitted for recreational use.

In his report, Mayor Bob Boley said that clean-up days will be May 10-12. Residents will need to present a utility bill for proof of residency to participate. No large items such as TVs, computers, tires, air conditioners, appliances or dehumidifiers are permitted. Also prohibited are toxic/hazardous materials, batteries, grass clippings and debris.

For residents that are concerned over how to dispose of their large items, Boley noted that if they have Diamond Back as their garbage pick-up company, they will take those items for a $10 fee.

Council approved the payment of bills in the amount of $11,676.82.

Two ordinances were approved and adopted -- one for establishing the wages for part-time dispatchers in the fire department and the other for establishing wages for part-time utility workers.

Motions passed to approve a bid from Scott Heiney for boardwalk repair approve the bid from M&A Concrete to concrete the area before the Newlin Memorial.
