The Landscape and Environmental Design program at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center will be holding its fifth annual plant sale starting Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and then continuing throughout the week on May 15 through the 19 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. while supplies last. Plants can be purchased in the greenhouse at the agriculture building on the campus. Varieties available to purchase are: coleus, geraniums, begonias, marigolds, petunias, ipomoeas (sweet potato vines), impatiens, and trailing verbena. The cost of the plants are: $3 for a pack, $5.50 for 4.5-inch pots, $6.50 for 5.5-inch pots, $22 for a flat, $25 for a 10 inch hanging basket, and $33 for a 12-inch tub. The sale is open to the public while supplies last. The event tends to sell out, so customers may want contact John Garwood at the school at 330-424-9561 Ext. 179 during the hours listed above prior to arriving.
